Unlike you, I don't have any real attachment to the NBA; I've considered quitting watching every season because I despise the league and almost everything about it, but I come back more out of boredom than anything. I might just go ahead and quit and go back to focusing on watching professional StarCraft II. (You know your league sucks when watching a video game is better.)

Not that attached to basketball either... I grew up playing it, but as I get older I realize it has some fatal flaws primarily with how difficult it is to officiate, and to a lesser extent with the lack of leverage in individual plays until the end of the game, making it almost pointless to watch the first half of ballgames.

i don't buy this, or that MEM gave pau away for junk simply out of stupidity. even the minimum wage drive thru operator at mcdonald's aint this stupid. it's clear that front offices are being coerced by either the league or agents (or both).

furthermore, the way that SVG was racking up fines for complaining about officiating against dwight in the playoffs......somehow i don't think mike brown will have any reason to have to speak up for dwight the next few postseasons now.

I imagine trade negotiations went like this.

Orl: "WE NEED TO GET RID OF HOWARD"
Hou: "We could help, how about our young players and picks?"
Orl: "NO, YOU'RE GONNA PULL SOME VOODOO MAGIC ON US WE DON'T WANT YOUR YOUNG PLAYERS"
Phi/Den/LA: "We got a bag of doritos and some high fives"
    Orl: "SOLD"

With Shaq and Dwight both going to the Lakers, does this make the Magic their D League team?

    ;)

Alex Kennedy: Still hearing that the four-team deal is bigger than what has been reported. Don't be surprised if additional players are in finalized deal. about 5 minutes ago

I'm still curious to see how Nash and Kobe mesh. Even with Dwight on the Lakers, I still think the Thunder are the team to beat in the West.

What the hell is wrong with Orlando? I still won't believe it until it is official because it is that bad.

The team who has the main ingredient in a 4 way trade, gets the worse deal... I don't get it.

I can honestly say I disagree with your stance on this topic.
