I doubt Artest will tire out Durant . Durant is an elite scorer and WILL score a lot. Nash is great at setting up his teammates and is in fact my favorite NBA player. I just don't see Kobe letting Nash handle the offense. He wants the ball in his hands to shoot.

You say Kobe will rest the whole game... when has that happened? Do you honestly think Kobe will opt to rest the whole game and will just "decide" to go off in the 4th?

    Misguided anger. Smh.

    Tisk tisk.

You'll see that the "trolls" see the big picture beyond the immediate.

    You'll get it...... One day.

    .......maybe.

You mean fat artest who showed up weighing 300 lbs? Nash is nearing 40: great player, but it's likely his minutes and productivity will drop off sharply either this season or next. Kobe's 34. Bynum's knees have been operated on more than meg ryan's face. Pau is softer than a marshmallow. Dwight's a ticking time bomb.

And obviously there is their genius floor general Mike Derp Brown.

They have a great squad on paper. But history shows that there is AT LEAST a 50/50 chance this team implodes.

If I posted a thread saying that Orlando Magic will trade Dwight Howard for Aaron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, Moe Harkless and some protected lottery picks in 4-5 year

I would've been neg repped, rookiefied, laughed at and called a fool.

That is how much of a joke this deal is.

    How much of a joke?

NBA2k12 won't even let me do this trade! A message comes up saying...

If Magic take this trade, they are idiots. If Stern allows this trade, what little credibility he had will disappear.

We lost almost half a season for a CBA that gives New York and L.A., the small family markets that they are, $100 million dollar rosters and all the leverage.

Sheesh, the other 25 teams in the league that aren't super stacked with 3+ all stars may as well just throw in the towel, there's no point in competing against that. It's not just the Lakers getting Dwight, but it's how little they gave up to get Dwight. Bynum's had more injury problems than Dwight, and a late 1st round pick is worthless.

So it probably is good that the Rockets are in rebuilding mode, because there's no way they could contend against these superpowers anyways.

Plan B is to move the Rockets to LA so that Morey can trade Harrellson and Brockman straight up for Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

When Laker fans dream of Dwight... "your wish is my command."

When Rocket fans dream of Dwight... "HAHAHAHA keep dreaming."

The only thing that can keep this team from winning the West is the same thing that did them in last year... KOBE SHOTJACKING

Agreed... I re-thought it. Most likely it will be Rubio/Love to replace aging Nash/Gasol. Then I guess Harden when Kobe retires. Or maybe Kyrie to replace Nash. All the small market teams getting screwed over while Lakers rack up more rings.

Artest is still a pretty effective defender. With all those offensive weapons on the team that's all he'll have to keep doing well. Didn't say he was gonna stop Durant, but he has a knack for getting under opponents' skin and throwing them off their game. I didn't mean Kobe is gonna go sit on the bench, merely that he can stay relatively fresh all game and turn his game up in the 4th if needed. His team is so strong he won't have to exert himself much on either defense or offense if he so chooses. He knows he is getting older and has even admitted in interviews he's going to have to start adjusting his style of play. You can't just "decide" to start making all your shots as your mocking tone would suggest, but being rested going into the final quarter of play, when games are often decided, is a huge factor in the quality of your physical and mental playmaking ability.

Sorry dude, Lakers are just too strong. Teams aren't supposed to have All-Star-quality players at every position. Great for TV ratings, not so much for other franchises. Don't get me wrong, I hope the Thunder smoke them; just think they'll overmatched as currently constructed.

Lakers lost only Andrew Bynum and a soon to be worthless 1st rounder for Dwight.

    Unbelievable. David Stern, VETO

What's laughable is Magic fans thinking Harkless is an exciting top prospect... dude is a Trevor Ariza clone AT BEST.

Kobe will let Nash handle the offense. Because Nash is that good and he will make things easier on him.
