*IF* the Dwight/LA trade is legit, what's Morey's plan B?

Note the part where I said "however many forwards it takes". The only forwards on this roster I wouldn't trade for Favors/Kanter are Motiejunas and Parsons. Everybody else is fair game... Patterson, White, Jones, Morris, Harrelson...

Note the part where I said they are worth more than that.

You think that the Rockets will be in the 8-12 range???

I think that we might be the worst team in the league this season.

Maybe, but you gotta factor in Utah's situation. These pieces are just going to languish on the bench getting 10 minutes a game, they basically have 3 centers on their roster. They need a shooting guard more than they need those guys right now especially given their plans to re-sign Millsap who is more of a PF than a SF.

What would you ask for from the Rockets in exchange for whichever one of those guys you think has less value?

I've always had a strong dislike for the 76ers and the Nuggets.

    No. Fricking. Way.

Seriously underrating the Lin/Martin/Parsons/Patterson/Asik starting lineup. Asik is already basically Marcus Camby, Lin is already Goran Dragic, Martin could easily be health this year, Parsons and Patterson should improve.

Before the doom and gloom, recognize that only one team has gotten better. The rockets will be playing other teams this season besides the lakers if I recall correctly.

Good thing too because the Lakers are the class of the West if this goes down...

    I don't think so dude.

I think that we will be in bottom 3 in the league.

We will see. I just don't see it.

Other than Kevin Martin (who should be moved at the deadline) the longest reigning NBA veteran is 3rd year Patrick Patterson. The team, other than McHale, has no locker room leadership. "Jeremy Lin is already Dragic" Based on what? While I don't see Lin stinking it up this year, I don't think he will bring what Dragic brought to the table. We lost Scola, Lee, Dalembert, Camby, Budinger, Lowry, and Dragic. We will be pretty awful. Not #1 pick awful, but 7-9 pick awful.

No. Top 4 in no particular order are LAL OKC Spurs LAC, then Memphis and Minny Denver and Mavs (in no particular order). We are there with the rest of the teams. I don't think the Rockets are dead last. Probably 9th or 10th seed. Maybe 8th in a perfect storm.

You don't sacrifice value for that reason. Kevin Martin's only value in a trade anywhere is his expiring contract.

Kanter and Favors were both #3 overall picks, have great size, and show a lot of promise, yet you wouldn't trade Chandler Parsons for one? Come on now. I'd trade Parsons in the quickest of heartbeats, and I'm sure Morey would too. But Utah wouldn't. And trading for Motiejunas would make no sense for them either, and yes I'd rather have Kanter or Favors than Motiejunas too.

You don't get players like without giving up someone like Lamb (and if you did, you'd be freaking ecstatic) and even then I bet it'd be the Rockets adding more to that deal and not the other way around.

The two of us aren't far off. I say 8-12, you say 7-9. Whatever. Pretty close.

Either way we're not getting a top 3 pick unless we get really lucky. Certainly not a top 3 seed in the lottery.

Thank god we still have all our assets (picks, etc)! Hopefully we can tank this season and get a guy like Wiggins! One of our 4 draftees this season will probably amount to something so that would be a nice young core (if we get Wiggins).

I'd like to say that I'd love to see the Rockets make the playoffs.

Rockets are at best #10 in the West right now.

Lin was NOT near as consistant over their same 30ish so games starting as Goran. One stat stood out, TO's.
Martin is gone and has no heart to play for DM or the Rockets this year.
Parsons may turn out to be a decent role player, but he doesn't start on most NBA teams, and hasn't really proved anything really.
Patterson is a waste and another nobody DM middle round pick.
Did you just compare a guy who has averaged 12 minutes a game in two years to Camby? Wow, sorry to bust your bubble, Asik was a horrible signing.

The Rockets will struggle to win 30 games this year. Bank on it.
