This trade is absolutely disgusting in terms of how lopsided it is. I'm not even mad we didn't get Howard. Surprised we weren't involved in the deal, yes. Bitter, no. However, Hennigan is complete fool (allow me to clarify: FOOL!) for agreeing to this deal.

The Magic don't even get the 3rd best player in this trade. They take on long undesirable term contracts in Afflalo and Harrington. The picks they get are likely to be closer to 2nd rounders than lottery picks AND they're protected. What are those moron thinking? Totally irrational. Instead of waving the white flag and accepting this trash, they would have been better off forcing the Lakers to set up deals to trade away other players such as Gasol for more picks to send to the Magic. I really don't understand how they are now better suited for a rebuild besides simply being a worse team and improving their own draft pick and getting some late first rounders that could have been bought for cash.

Hell, Martin and PPat + 2 of our 2012 first rounders (before the Rockets used them) beats this deal. They dug themselves in deep by passing up trades; should have doubled down on their bet. There obviously wasn't much left to lose anyway.

And then you factor in the long term re-signing of Jameer Nelson. What the hell, man, seriously. Those guys have no clue what they're doing. This trade reeks of either unbridled spite towards Morey or some kind of backroom deal with Stern for the 2013 overall top pick. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist here but what are the chances of 3 teams winning the lottery back-to-back-to-back the year immediately after trading away their superstar? If the Magic wind up picking number 1 in 2012 you can erase all doubt that the NBA is rigged. Just disgusting.

Hmmm I think the Magic are probably capable of a 9th or 10th seed, which would make getting a top 3 pick extremely difficult. If they do end up with the top pick I will no longer watch the NBA. Seriously.

How does it feel Orlando fans? I feel sorry for you.

How many Orlando fans will be jumping on the Heat bandwagon next season?

I just can't see a sell out with Jameer Nelson, TurkeyGlue, Aflalo and Harrington as your marquee players.

Even the worst team in the league has only a 25% chance at the #1 pick This means the odds are heavily stacked against picking 1st even if you do manage to be the worst. Look at Charlotte for example.

It WOULD be highly improbable for them to win it and very suspect if they did.

25% chance is a low chance now? It would be suspect if the franchise with the highest chance of winning wins the number 1 overall pick? So if any team gets the number 1 overall pick then it is suspect? Makes no sense.

They have one of the biggest tv deals in history. 20 year deal, rumored to be worth $3 bil total, or an avg. of $150 mil per.

I don't know how it's possible to make it anymore obvious. The NBA is rigged.

Obviously someone has to be the pick but the odds are stacked against any one team regardless of where they land.

If it were to be Orlando...even as the worst team in the league...it would be HIGHLY suspect especially on the heels of the Jazz/Cavaliers #1 picks.

    Get it?

I would probably agree after something like this but David Stern did veto a trade to send a superstar to the Lakers last year.... then ended up in LA anyways... NVM.
