The 1 big difference between the Rox deal vs the proposed 4-team trade besides Orlando getting high lottery picks from Hou is our ability to absorb 2 to maybe even 3 high contracts from the Magic.

Orlando would satisfy 2 of 3 of their objectives as oppose to all 3 if they deal with the Rox. Somehow the feeling is that theres a player or 2 that Hennigan wants and Morey is absolutely unwilling to include. Its almost as if Hennigan is doing this trade just to spite Morey smh...

I don't even know if I'm mad about not getting Howard at this point; I'm excited for the rooks. I'm just pissed you reloaded the Lakers for 6 more years.

Don't care that much. Dwight will hate playing next to Kobe, Philly and Denver are still irrelevant, and Orlando is going to be as bad as Charlotte with double the payroll. Oh, and Dallas has no one to sign next summer, either.

Too obvious that Orlando wanted Morey to overpay, and there was too much of a risk that Howard would go through the motions and walk out on us out of spite in July. Bynum's health and maturity were pretty big risks as well.

Nothing beats homegrown talent. Let's get excited for the youngsters....and a big draft in April.

 

Shame, Orlando could of had our three first round picks on draft day and we could of kept Dragic, Lowry, Scola, etc.

while people like to say that, no, there really wouldn't have been, the bobcats would be seen as the team most likely to win it, did win it, the nets, perhaps, but no one would have thought much of the 2nd worst team, washington winning it again either.

But all of these are a far cry of a team being sold off by the NBA to new owners at the same point as they win a lottery with 1 franchise caliber player immediately after losing their other one.

Plenty of teams have been looking for a franchise player for years, it just happens that the last 2 years, they've been insta-replacements.

Henningan took a worse deal, but it will pay off in a BIG way by the draft in a year or 2
