Coworkers will eventually get bored with the subject after awhile, as long as you keep things professional. Sounds like a secretary to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Do you ask her to take dick-tation and then laugh at your joke and comment on how you're a cunning linguist?
Go old school and put on your robe and wizard hat. Then text her that you're going to tap dat, because asking her would be inappropriate since you're her superior.
funny- read and loved most of the response here...but she has laughed everytime I tried to say something funny - (nothing inappropiate- the same funny stuff you'd say to anybody)
Secretary Position n. A position for sexual intercourse in which a man(ROXRAN) is behind the woman and the women is bent over ROXRAN's desk.
But whatever you do, DONT post tit pics on the BBS in fear of pedo slander.. Having a work office affair is bad enough, but this would be the rotten cherry on top of the crap cake
Ask her if she likes to know new positions. Because your staff is highering at the thought of her assets.
ROXRAN, what is your question, specifically? I have the background now, but I need to know what your question will target, specifically.
I think I was more talking out loud and wanted to hear responses. No real question at all...but to add . . I admit she is attractive, and her warm personality makes her moreso but that has nothing to do with the job function. I try to not discuss personal traits when we are working, for ex. I haven't even brought up my family life... but my concern is she is trying to do too much. The company recruited her over the summer from college and I knew about her classes and welcomed working with her on hours, but yesterday she did bring up the fact she also has a part time office night job (which won't affect her current 10-2pm M-F schedule- no biggie) However, she informed me the intention is to take 16 hrs. this Fall semester to make sure she graduates after the Spring next year . . . She is very intelligent and driven, and even exceeded my expectations on grasping the procedures/terminology .. but I almost started wondering if we hired the right person and it would be tough to start over/re-train with someone in the Fall when my business picks up if she decides something has to give...but hopefully that won't happen -She has told me she likes the work, and has done nothing but awesome. -but 2 part-time jobs and 16 hrs. ? ...okay makes you wonder
You need to save her. Offer to pay her rent. And ask her out to dinner sometimes so you know she has something proper to eat.
