Why do you support trading assets for Dwight knowing that he'll just walk away next summer?

I wouldnt mind Gasol. I'm sure he will be a lot cheaper to get than Howard would be. We desperately need a legit inside presence and Gasol would automatically give us that.

Well put. There is nothing else out there for Orlando. That move to trade Lowry for Toronto's 2013 double protected 1st was absolute genius. Lamb + Toronto 1st + Martin expiring + sending out one bad contract is simply better than the field. I'm sure Hennigen is doing all this to get at one of DMo, Jones, Patterson, or Parsons, but unfortunately for him, we already know we have the best offer.

    No crap, Tony.

Philly turns overpaid and washing up Iggy (plus a non-lottery pick) into the second best center in the game.

Denver turns an overpaid role player and a vastly overpaid role player into an overpaid former all star.

Lakers give up Gasol AND Bynum to land Howard and two bad contracts?

Orlando gets next to no cap relief, a handful of near-worthless draft picks, no young prospects, and come away with one borderline all star and a small upgrade at SG?

LOL at Hennigan. Seriously, if I'm Morey, I take one more chip off the table as punishment.

Why help out Orlando or LA? I would tell both teams to go **** themselves and let both teams collapse with no trades.

Magic fans will revolt if all they get back for Dwight is Pau Gasol's sh***y contract, Evan Turner(?), and some crappy draft picks

One interesting thing to come out if these rumors is what out would take to potentially land Iggy or Aflalo. If Philly wants a big man for Iggy, then if Asik looks good on the way to the trade deadline, then an Asik and other pieces move for Iggy might be doable. And if we could get Iggy, then flipping him for Aflalo and Herrington is very interesting to me too.

Outside of D12, who's an expiring contract himself, the names being bandied around are a bunch of bad contracts and expirings (both Iggy and Bynum can become FA's next summer).

Unless Hennigan comes back to accept Morey's deal the Rockets need to stay away from this hot mess of a trade. It wouldn't benefit us at all to even consider facilitating Dwight to LA.

Actually in hindsight we are in a much better position moving forward after Stern vetoed that Pau trade last year. I just don't see where Pau or his contract has much value at this point considering his age.
