lived in a gated community with 3 streets for 3 years but had to get out of his car to get a street name LOL
This "story" happened while I was on sabbatical, so I have not had a chance to weigh in properly on this. My reaction was that Jorge Zimmerman was simply trying to protect the community from trouble when he got attacked by Martin. I mean, if I live in a gated community and I see a teenaged male walking around in the rain near my house, I'm concerned. The stats show that they are more prone to violence and walking around in the rain is bizarre. I would WANT someone acting on my behalf, intervening before a crime is committed. When you layer on that Martin was on drugs, talked of dealing drugs, and had a history of violence and assault, it sounds like Jorge Zimmerman did exactly what he SHOULD have done -- which is stop trouble before it starts. That's his role. Martin's behavior suggested that he was looking for a fight -- unfortunately for him he met his match -- a gun. The media's coverage of this issue was no doubt politically motivated (rally the black vote in Florida) and totally reckless... jumping to conclusions, lying, doctoring video and audio, all in an attempt to paint Jorge Z as a racist, vigilante wannabe cop who murdered this poor little innocent boy with Skittles and iced tea. When the facts came out, we then knew that Martin was troublesome and a threat to the community. It's a shame he lost his life, but you certainly can't fault Zimmerman for trying to protect his neighbors. Zimmerman also passed a lie detector test, which is huge. The people still going after Zimmerman despite all of these facts coming out are wrong. They made their decision based on the media's misrepresentation of this case and haven't gone back to re-judge the issue based upon the facts. Emotions got in their way, sadly.
Made yourself look really dumb here brah. I'm just gonna startttt. here "history of violence and assault"- Go ahead and show me this. "Martin was going to start trouble"- Go ahead and show me this. "Martin's behavior suggested that he was looking for a fight"- Go ahead and show me this
Did you listen to Jorge Zimmerman's interview? It all matched up with the police report and he passed a lie detector test. He said Martin attacked him, so I'm going to go ahead and believe the lie detector test and the police on that one. And Martin was suspended from school for assaulting a bus driver. That's the history of violence. Sheesh, take a look at his twitter account -- looks like violence and drugs are the only things that interest him! If a guy like this is walking around my house in the rain, you're darn right I want someone to confront him. That's just common sense.
? You don't know that TM didn't attack Zimmerman, as Zimmerman stated. the facts have certainly not ruled out that Zimmerman acted lawfully
Would you do it yourself? Especially after a dispatcher CLEARLY tells you not to. Even somone like yourself has enough common sense to say no.
didnt say that he did we will never know who started it but we do know that zimmerman didnt have to act in the way he did just cause you see someone walking in the rain is no reason to kill them .
guy like what zimmerman knew nothing of his pass so just because he is walking in the rain you follow him get in to a fight and kill him after you reported it to the police common sense would have been to let the police do there job.
But isn't it interesting (not really) that after supposedly claiming to being away and not reading the thread that he's got the talking points down pat.
that's so oversimplifying it how do you know GZ wasn't trying to protect the neighborhood from the recent rash of crime
We actually do know who started it. Zimmerman. The harder part will be for Zimmerman to prove he fully retreated and otherwise disengaged and then Martin attacked at that point. Trickier to prove with only one living witness. We'll see.
I can barely read this, your English is terrible. Anyway, apparently you know very little about this case. According to Zimmerman, who has proven himself far more credible (passed a lie detector) than the media, it was Martin who attacked Zimmerman. It was only when Zimmerman's life was endangered did he shoot and kill Martin. So your post above suggests that you simply quit listening to the details after what was initially reported by the media. We now know that what was reported was flawed, distorted and inaccurate. It is time to update yourself with the information that is currently available. But the fact remains that a teenaged male with drugs in his system and a history of violence was walking aimlessly in the rain around houses. No sane member of society would welcome this around their house. Zimmerman was acting with good intentions -- to safeguard his neighborhood and selflessly protect the innocent from a potential crime. According to Zimmerman's account (passed a lie detector), Martin was verbally and physically aggressive towards Zimmerman. So let's see -- an aggressive teenaged male loaded up on drugs with a history of violence is walking around a neighbor's house... who in their right mind wouldn't be concerned for their safety? Be real.
if thats the case he did was he was supposed to do by calling the police Not by killing someone who was simply walking home in the rain.
like i said you need to check fact zimmerman was also on drugs so some over aggressive nut job with a gun chasing down a kid walking from the store with a bag of skittles and drink is your reason to kill someone thats just show what common sense you really have.
