Les ain't stopping with the ebay maxxis tire company, he is looking for some large chain llantera companies to get in the action. Plus, they can provide his players with deep discounts on some 22" chrome wheels and "good" used tires. Do it Bob Morley!

Really nice guy. His mother (Sandra S.) was my CPA for a few years in San Antonio and he is a GREAT kid. That said, this team might be able to learn something from his tough, veteran lunchpail attitude. Our young bigs won't hurt from learning how to grind out a spot in the rotation as a defensive hustle player.

This reminds me. We saw Ryan Bowen at the summer league. Scout for the Nuggets now. I think we scared him when we saw him in the concourse and raised our beers to say in our best German accents..."Prost to the Germinator"

I remember this is when i started reading clutchcity.net......well around eddie griffin time, but I didn't sign up till now. I remember everyone talking Langhi up like he was the next larry bird. He was the first for me, in a long line of clutchcity.net "superstars in waiting"

    Dan Langhi
Malick Badiane( my personal fav, he was always the "star" stashed overseas
    Marty Leunen
    Steve Novak

Anyone see the pattern of 6'10 white guys who are all "larry bird"

I miss the clutchcity.net days....."fast eddie" and yao were the best 4/5 combo in history waiting and never happened like planned with Steve and Cat <sigh>

forgot to add Terrence Morris, who was once considered a top 5 talent....but Malick Badiane was the all time best....he was Shawn Kemp/Serge Ibaka and with a little work Hakeem offensively...in theory.....in reality, he was obinna ekezie minus a few pounds

This makes no sense at all, it has to be a wild rumour.

I wouldn't be opposed to this move if it follows or precedes a major shake-up of the roster that turns us into a contender.

But I'm not expecting that. Cynicism has defeated me when it comes to the Rockets.

I think he can be more interesting than people thinks. He has made a good NBA career thanks to pure attitude and hard work, and this is just what a young and talenetd team needs. He hardens the practices and forces young guys to improve. And has a reputation for being a high character guy into the locker room.

The only problem is to waste one of the 15 spots on a player who is not going to play. Because as valid role player as he has been, the truth is that he can't play in the NBA nowadays.

Could the Rockets be interested in Najera as a D-League coach? I think this might make a little more sense.

Very slow news day. Hoopshype lead item f Yahoo claims Najera ia considering BK, Houston & Minny. I'm told he's retiring 2 B D-L assistant
— Peter Vecsey (@PeterVecsey1) August 9, 2012

If you don't like Najera, you have no soul; but that's not the point. The dude is 36 year old! He's a 6'8" 36-yr old power forward. Sure he can get you 4 rebounds in 18 minutes, and he can still get in someone's way, and yeah, he's a hard working/blue collar vet; but why would you give that guy any court-time at the expense of our young talent? Has to be an unguranteed contract which Morey may or may not package as part of a potential trade, right?

Very tough hombre. A Dalembert style contract, 2 year contract with small buyout for second year makes a lot of sense as far as cap and trade flexibility.
