He's going to do a swab for a possible bone marrow donation??? Giving bone marrow is no joke...and usually not for non-family members. If he goes through with this, then my respect with Hibbert will go through the roof.
Very classy. Sick / dying kids is probably the worst thing in the world. Here's an expanded article btw: http://www.indystar.com/article/201...r-Roy-Hibbert-s-act-kindness?odyssey=nav|head Not that Hibbert's swab gesture isn't great, but it sounds like it's just too late for this kid. As a parent, stories like these terrify me.
This gets me wondering. If an NBA player chooses to donate an organ or undergo a medical procedure which renders him unable to play NBA for some time, is he prohibited from doing so, does he have to sign wavers?
very sad story for the boy. I know this is supposed to be an uplifting article about hibbert but it just made me feel bad for the boy
In before Aceshigh7 makes a ridiculous statment about cancer and how he thinks it's all mental. Great move by Hibbert, though.
This story doesn't get any better. sad ending http://www.indystar.com/article/20120809/SPORTS04/120809038/Leukemia-claims-Pacers-fan-day-before-Hibbert-can-visit?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|IndyStar.com
