Wow the dutch woman field hockey team, got a scare in there Semi final. I'm happy they won. I'm curious to see If Martina can keep up with Bolt and Blake in the finals. But I do feel he should be able to get bronze.
If NBC had any brains at all (which judging from the coverage they don't) they would bring him in as a commentator. Just make sure you have enough of a delay to hit the censor button.
Canada is playing France in the women's soccer semi final right now. It's on NBC Sports. 0-0 in the 78th minute. Canada looks tired. They just subbed Tancredi. US/Japan at 1:30 CST
Canada scored two minutes into stoppage time at the end of 90min. Canada gets the bronze. Good on them. I hope it takes some of the sting away. France looked way better all game and got nothing. I'm hoping Canada's fatigue level doesn't reflect the US team's.
Love watching the failed pole vault attempts.. The faces on some of these athletes are priceless, lol...
OMG lmao! I bet she's regretting being such a sore loser! I hope so. I definitely agree with you! Aly is the star of the team in my opinion. Love Gabby too.
Sting from what? I hate that the 6-second rule is never called. It was correctly enforced...and that was clearly a hand ball on the free kick after. Sting from the bottom of Tancredi's cleats after she stomped on Carli Lloyd's head?
Like it or not, deciding randomly to enforce that rule at that point in the match changed the outcome. Was it a justified call? Yea. But it was a justified call at any point earlier in the game and it wasn't called previously. The rule itself is one that rarely if ever is called. The ref definitely imposed herself on the game. Didn't see the Tancredi stomp specifically but I read somewhere that the US also did some headstomping that went unnoticed (may have been in another game).
