Well, I was born and raised in NE Harris county. So even though the city is only 30 minutes away, once you cross the eastside of the Beltway life slows down a WHOLE LOT. I'm still living out there now, and doubt I'll ever leave.
Absolutely. Not only are people wired differently, but that wiring changes over time too. I grew up in MT. I couldn't wait as a young person to get out and see the world. I've seen it. Now as an older person, I can't wait to get back. Its strange, but as I've aged, I've become more appreciative of the simple things in life that a slower pace offers. And of course this IS where I was born and raised and I miss many things about it. Just curious....have you ever been to Montana?
I haven't. I envision a lot of beautiful scenery with a whole lot of nothing in between. A place I wouldn't mind visiting one day perhaps. Visiting national parks in the US is something I want to do when I'm older. This question might seem silly/ignorant but is it anything like Sioux Falls? I have a friend who started a couple of Comfort Suites in the area. He said it was kinda boring there.
I've never been to Sioux Falls, but I imagine its similar. The city I'm moving to is Billings which is about 100,000 people. The thing about it is that its the largest city in the area which means its a regional center for the area. In other words, lots of things you might not normally see in a city that size is in Billings so you get most of what you get in a large city except the obvious. Not sure about Sioux Falls, but Montana has a largge number of outdoor activities you can do. Fishing, hunting, skiing, camping, water skiing, are all major activities but in a place that isn't so crowded.
