    I say we are a .400 ballclub next year, winning 32 games. 11th in the deep Western conference.

    LOL! I'm a bit more suspicious than most, but I tend to suspect that the powers that be actually encourage SAS to engage in high volume histrionics whenever possible. This promotes racial hatred and divisiveness, instead of allowing us to appreciate each other as human beings.

    So many suckers fall for the all too transparent race baiting tactics though.

    He was always going to be polarizing with or without Stephen A. Yeah the media added to the fire by hyping him up so incessantly but when you are asian, undrafted, from Harvard, playing in NY etc. people are going to have opinions and problems with it.

    Logical fallacy since our starting lineup will probably include no rookies. A mediocre record could just mean our starting lineup was solid and our bench was OK. Same as last season in other words.

    With a team that has only one player that has started for a full NBA season? Experience matters a lot in this league and we don't have very much at all.

    When Yao was announced to be out for the 09-10 season I remember they predicted us to be 4th worst. Anyways I hope Rockets are around the 2nd worst team they need a superstar talent badly

    To be fair, the Knicks fans have booed many a Knick at MSG over the years.

    No way. The NBA in the lock-out shortened season was boring as f***. Then Linsanity came out of nowhere, and it electrified fans everywhere. People actually turned on the TV just to see how the Knicks were doing. How odd. Add to the fact that it was heartwarming, life-affirming story, and this became the biggest story of the NBA season.

    Meanwhile, Stephen A, even the height of Linsanity is calling Lin an average marginal player at best. That he can't play. He has no left hand. He has too many turnovers. That it's blasphemous that people think he can play. During the off-season, he's calling Lin a greedy, selfish individual. The guy is a Class A racist. It's a miracle ESPN hasn't fired that bombastic hack yet.

    Tanking doesn't mean you'll get a high pick. Getting a high pick doesn't mean you get a superstar.

    Detroit had #2 pick in 2003. They got Darko.

    I WISH we'd truly be the 29th team in terms of record come end of the season. But the problem is, Morey is so good at getting middling players it's easy to imagine a scenario where we're similar to the 2009-2010 season, where everyone thought we'd suck, but we ended up being .500 to start our run at medicority.

    I would actually be pleasantly surprised if we're a 20-30 win ballclub. But with Asik and Lin, I think our defense would be enough to be a ~35-win team. Which means lottery pick in the 7-12 range.

    Then all of our cap space will be for nothing!!! WHo wants to play for worst team in the league full of rookies and bad record regardless of $$ available. This is why getting howard will be a waste of time. He wants to win while we are easily a bottom 5 team in the nba. Wizards will have a better record than us! WIZARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Joe Johnson may be overpaid but he is still an elite SG. Also Brook Lopez was injured for a lot of last year and Gerald Wallace only played for a small portion of last season. They also got a bit of additional depth. Stackhouse, Reggie Evans, etc. So yes they could move up a lot.

    we'll be fighting for our playoff lives again. I think we might make it this time. I think we quite improved actually

    starters:

    lin(younger/more potential)=dragic
    martin=martin(healthy)
    parsons=parsons(improved)
    Patterson(healthy, better defense)<Scola
    Asik>dally

    improved bench:

    douglas/machado
    lamb/forbes
    jones
    white/jj
    d-mo

    jones/d-mo could replace patpat later on. got high hopes for this club

    Why are people complaining about a possible "mediocre" record? If we can get to a 0.500 record with this young team, shouldn't we be all overjoyed? A middling team with an average age of 23 is not as same as a middling team with an average age of 30, people...

    You have to give Morey the benefit of the doubt. Also, Detroit chose Darko because they needed size to add to their already talented team. Morey chooses players not based on need but on how good that player is. So I don't know... In Morey we trust I guess.

    That's not true. People who started petition to ask Knicks matching Lin's offer are all Americans and NY media,(i found them on twitter) not many Asians. In NY, a lot of Lin fans are not Asian like Spike lee and Inn O'Cornnor and Mike and Mike on Espn radio. Stephen A and a certain group of CAA players are most of Lin haters including Melo lovers. the more famous you become, the more doubters. L'James got a lot of haters from Cleveland and NY. I hate him too.

    The goal should be acquiring a top three pick in the 2013 NBA draft, so I'm OK with being ranked 29th, but I think we'll be much better than that. I'm also amused they list Patterson as a starter now that we have D-Mo.
