If I could get a Galaxy Note on a data only plan I'd be all over it.

Only ding I've seen on s3 is that it may take the easiest cracked screen crown from Apple.

Have one now. Love the phone itself, but battery life (as it is for most Android phones) is kinda not great to say the least. Being that this is my first Android phone, my analogy for Android batteries is that is it like a water barrel with a sizeable hole in the bottom of it that you have to continue to fill up to keep some water in it. I have a phone charger at home, work, and a car charger because it is very much needed.

Can't really say because there's no info on the Nexus model(s), but going by Google's track record, I'd say Nexus.

The S3 will be about 6 months old by the end of the year, so if you want to settle for that, that's always an option.

Based on the leaked info (if it's true), the Galaxy Note 2 is a good option. I never liked the battery life on my Galaxy Note so I switched over to the Galaxy Nexus.

The iPhone is anyones best guess really. Until it's announced, you really can't judge it.

I'm 95% sure that I'm switching from the Samsung Galaxy line to the iPhone 5. Just as long as they increase the screen size.

Too subjective. Each phone would have different personal preference advantages over the others (Note is big and likely the most powerful hardware, GS3 well rounded, iPhone has iOS) with the exception of the current Nexus IMO. That model is up for a refresh way sooner than the other phones considering half of them aren't even out yet.

A Nexus refresh is looming and I feel that once more phones on par with the GS3 and One X arrive that the current Nexus should actually be considered in a different (lesser) gen of phone. If we're talking a refreshed Nexus then it's advantage would be the low cost of an unsubsidized phone. Again, they'd all have a differentiator.

That's the cool thing about Android, you pick what you want. Some people don't need a hulking Note. Others prefer Sense to TouchWiz. Others want a clean build of Android. With Apple phones all you get is one choice, a gift certificate to Starbucks, and an email subscription to Urban Outfitters.

Im one week into having an S3 after having an iPhone for 5 years. Im going to have a hard time convincing myself to go back to an Apple after messing with an Android.

The only crappy thing about Android...or maybe just the Samsung...is the texting. The predictive texting blows chunks. Almost to the point where it shouldnt even try to predict. Apple has that part nailed perfectly. Also, more lag on the Samsung than on the iPhone...maybe the Jelly Bean update will get it up to par with the iPhone. Not that there is noticeable lag on the Samsung...just in comparison to the iPhone 4S, the iPhone seems to be a little more responsive.

Otherwise, the freedom Ive experienced with the S3 is incredible...the screen size/resolution is phenomenal...the camera is great...all the customization options...lots to love about the phone.

If the new Nexus phones come out late in the year as rumored, one of them. All they need to do is at least match the S3.

There will be a new Nexus phone towards the end of the year.

It will be technologically ahead of everything.

Galaxy Nexus getting full support straight from Google. That puts it on the top of the list for me
