there was no layup drill, if you mean half-court offense. 15 ft shots and quick layups with team USA late on D, most of them. Lithuania was playing 6-8 / 6-9 "centers" who are more than fine shooting from mid range and can face up and handle the ball a little. LeBron is awesome defending that. Tyson Chandler is not. Coach K would probably explain it better and smarter, but that's all i got. The only time when Chandler made sense was with Valanciunas on the floor, and he didn't play much because he was shut down.
Don't get why Davis wasn't getting minutes, he seems perfect for that small ball scenario you guys are describing. Was he injured or is Coach K that stubborn?
If that happens then other teams don't even remotely stand a chance. Spain, Argentina, Brazil. They would all lose their best players in a situation like that.
Iguodala dunk went all the way down and bounced off his chest and came back out and refs didn't see that
Delfino is playing very bad, hope the Rockets do not get him. The whole team is acting too much but USA are whining like little babies, it's embarrassing.
this is one much better: http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/london2012/index.html just find basketball section beneath.
Team USA's lack of big men is hurting them on defense. Captain Obvious statement, I know. It's just that their interior defense is so pathetic that it merits a comment. Their PnR defense has been equally laughable this game.
i wonder why isn't Chandler playing. I get the Lithuania game, it just didn't make sense in most matchups. But he would be useful in this one.
