you could've gotten nothing if that somebody had cap space. You should be happy and send Lee a bunch of roses for going to a team that was willing to give you something.

After watching some film of the guy, he looks like our best candidate for backup center (If D-Mo is primarily at PF). I know that's not saying much...

Maybe Morey felt that McHale could best develop our new batch of PF's. Although we've gone way past excess in that position now.

I don't blame the guy either, but if he learned anything at all from KG, he could probably get a spot in the rotation. Or not.

How can he be a backup center? He can't even rebound.

there's this guy named Olajuwon that he can train with down in Houston. He needs to let it go with the KG man crush. But then again.. Hakeem seems to be training everyone except Rockets players nowadays.

Hakeem trains whoever has the bank to pay him. It has nothing to do with the Rockets. Dream is in it to make money and doing it well.

I really wish the Rockets were more like the Celtics. The way how everyone feels like a big family together and Morey would treat the players like family instead of assets. I bet Courtney Lee is relieve and excited to be traded out of Houston and to the Celtics. I just want the Rockets to respect their players more even if they are just role players and not stars.

I don't blame the kid at all if he is disappointed. Sounds like Garnett had taken a particular interest in him and was helping him to mature as a player and as a pro... and now that is just gone, gone, gone.

I realize that.. with his new paycheck.. 50g's should be no problem at all. I never expected Hakeem to do it for free.

I don't believe that Hakeem is "in it to make money". I truly believe he wants to impart his offensive and defensive gifts to the next generation, skills which have for the most part died with his retirement. As we've seen, only guard/forwards like Kobe and Lebron even have the requisite agility and body control to come close to pulling off what he used to do.

If Hakeem had all the free time in the world, he would teach anyone who would want to listen and work with him. But he doesn't. And there are almost assuredly more applicants for his services than he has the capacity to take on. So what's the easiest way to filter them out? He's not going to institute a lottery system, and it would seem unfair if he pulled a Phil Jackson and only worked with people who were already superstars. So he charges a modest fee; whatever is good enough to pare his list of people down to a manageable number, and then he goes from there.

I don't believe he charged money to work with Yao or any of the early guys who wanted his training. But now he's a hot commodity after the two of the last three NBA champions got "over the hump" after a few short sessions with the Dream. So he charges. So what? I don't get the animosity towards his action, not even the slightest hint of resentment is warranted in my book. It's not like we ha

Rondo and Allen couldn't even share the basketball together without big egos.
