You knew it was a joke when he forgot to include Marcus Morris and the kitchen sink + Turbo + 3 of our dancers + the keys to Morey's hybrid

However, BimaThug, I am disappointed in you. You used proper grammar when it would have been so easy to say "Y'all will live longer this way." Got to work the y'all in there whenever you can.

    Thanks y'all!

Here's a different angle on the Dwightmare which just hit me and I realized how stupid we are not to have thought about it.

You know that involved in any Howard trade there will be a physical, disclosure of medical records, and so forth.

We all know that Dwight is still rehabbing from his back surgery in LA.

Is it possible that he simply hasn't been dealt yet because teams (including the Rockets) will be willing to give up more if Dwight is healthier? Dwight claims he'll be ready in time for training camp, but he's surely not there yet.

Maybe the Magic aren't waiting for better offers to materialize simply out of thin air--maybe they're waiting for better offers to materialize because Howard will be healthy soon.

Scratch LA off the Dwight list of preferred destinations. LA fan hates Dwight.

I think there could be a number of reasons for the delay:
    1) Henny wants to see if he can get more offers
    2) Henny wants to pressure Houston - I think Houston really wants him and I think they want him before training camp or at worst before the season - I think Houston needs Dwight there all year
    3) Henny wants a better offer - wants more out of Houston
    4) Maybe Howard will say I will seriously consider staying in Houston if traded - he can't sign the extension, but he can warm up to Houston and talk about resigning
    5) LA fans might boo him at a Dodgers game - I thought he got applause at a prior game, but I'm glad the LA fans booed him
    6) Dallas may need to make a move - if Dallas thinks Howard is going to LA maybe they make some roster moves - not sure on this - they may want to be able to offer a max contract to someone next year no matter what and it looks like he could walk to Atlanta as well, but he appears not wanting Atlanta
    7) The fear of starting the season in Orlando for Dwight may loosen him up to other options - if he says he would seriously consider resigning in Houston or somewhere else it may help the offers in Dwight's mind. I don't think Dwight wants to show up at the Arena in Orlando - I hope the fans will be merciless and if it were up to me I would fine Dwight if he didn't show up to the games at least in street clothes. I would also introduce him every home game with the arena quiet and allow the boos to resonate.

I really don't think he'll walk from Houston and I think a deal gets done. I think Howard will like it there and knowing he can't get to the Lakers without a trade I think he'll settle into Houston. I really don't see it as rental unless Howard re-injures himself -yes, he could walk to Dallas, but I really don't see it - I just see his posturing trying to force his way to LA - he can't force his way to LA or NY so I think Houston is good.

If he acts like an ass after the season Houston just lets him know that LA can't make a good offer, that they'll listen, but LA isn't making a good offer and if necessary trade him for Bynum and picks if it looks like he would really walk to Dallas, I would be extemely surprised if he kept Dwightmare going next year after playing for Houston - he'll like it there.

Valanciunas looked pretty raw today. He will no doubt struggle as a rookie next year, and the trade value of the Toronto pick is looking good.

One thing about Morey, if reports are true, once he puts a certain value on an asset, he won't be easily budged. I don't think Orlando can improve our offer by waiting.

Exactly! The idea of making trades starts with the proposition that everybody wins.

Not that one team wins at the expense of the others.

    That's not WIN / WIN.

    That's WIN / LOSE

Ok mr Tslack...why would we give up that much for Bynum, and helping ORL with trash contracts, also cross LA off his list after last night at a Dodgers game,

I'm pretty sure, after that, and the whole following "Shaq legacy" I want to be my own well guess what Dwight Hou hasn't done **** in 17 years, and you won't feel the whole "Dream legacy" although you will Dwight when you are playing in Hou., I think Dream gives you the "lessons" for Free! Just a thought Dwight...
I know you want to collect top dollar on everything, and adding a few moves
that you obv. haven't used, thus needing more "lessons", Hou. would
be the BEST place for you oh ya and....we have that Lin guy picking up the "following a legacy" Yao might have heard of him, he owned you, he was also a C, and that PG Lin he's going to take all the pressure off ya, bc he will have a bigger following than you, which is fine, because then you'll also get some of his fans it's a win win Dwight, go to an Astros game ;), you'll be on the screen the whole game, Astros are horrible, theyd prob cheer for Charlie Sheen I'm sure , there's been no excitement in Hou since June 8 years ago so come on DOWN!

The fact that you and the three posters after you can't tell sarcastic posts from serious posts is exactly why you don't have negrep abilities.

I've taken a few weeks off from this because I like my sanity. Can someone give me a small summary of the current situation? Or is the title post accurate? I'd rather not read through 15 pages...

Who's in the "lead" for a deal? Hou, LA or a LA/Cavs 3way?

    Thank you.

    Market sizes
    NY - #1 market size - 6.4% - 7.38 million TV HH's
    LA - #2 market size - 4.9% - 5.57 million TV HH's
    CH - #3 market size - 3.1%
    PH - #4 - 2.6%
    DA - #5 market size - 2.2% - 2.57 million TV HH's
    SF - #6 - 2.2%
    BO - #7 - 2.1%
    DC - #8 - 2.1%
    AT - #9 - 2%
    HO -#10 market size - 1.9% - 2.18 million TV HH's
    OR -#19 market size - 1.3% - 1.46 million TV HH's

So, if endorsements are based on market size then there is a huge jump in LA over Houston or Dallas, but not too big a difference between Dallas and Houston and given Dallas being in decline I don't see Dwight being overly anxious to go to Dallas.

I think he is bluffing trying to discourage Houston from making a legitimate offer to try and force his way to LA.

I think Morey and Hennigan are smart enough to see through this.

LA needs Cleveland and Cleveland won't give up a lot for Bynum so maybe Morey will try to offer less, but Orlando wants a fair return.

If Dwight goes to Houston he can't force his way to LA (and there is a part of him that does not want to follow Shaq) - I think he stays if he plays the season in Houston - Olajuwan is a big chip for Houston since Olajuwan trains and teaches Dwight in the off season.

I see Howard's camp completing bluffing trying to get to LA for bigger endorsement deals, but if he goes to Houston then I think the drama could be over after next season, but there would be a little drama, but not too much - he can't sign until the season is over.
