I am a Houston rockets fan and as a fan I have the right to have opinions about players on my favorite team and I think Jeremy Lin is not a starting point guard in this league. If you don't like what I've said because I'm "flaming" your favorite player than oh well.

However, I'd like to point out that you're getting negative reactions because you have implied that Jeremy Lin gets a following ONLY because of his race. For example the following statement: Many people in media and elsewhere have noted that Jeremy Lin is breaking barriers in more ways than one. With a lot of your comments, you are coming off as misinformed, insensitive, or just plain spiteful. Take it easy with the haterade. He didn't steal your girlfriend.
I never said Jeremy Lin ONLY will get votes because of his race. Answer me, in 2003 who was voted in as the starting center for the western conference? It was Yao Ming, who was voted over Shaq. It was obvious that most of those votes came from China. Yao Ming averaged just under 12 ppg. Meanwhile Shaq was averaging 26 ppg. So you are blind if you don't think the Asian countries will vote him in base on his performance and not his race.
Take that up with David Stern. Fans don't create the rules. The commissioner did. The NBA "All-Star" game is a popularity contest. People are going to vote for their favorite players, and in China that happened to be Yao Ming. It's none of your business to dictate whom people should or shouldn't vote for. Btw, Yao Ming, who happens to be a HOUSTON ROCKET, is also one of the greatest centers of his time. No acknowledgement of that of course.
