I certainly hope that area is Houston since I drive by a HPD substation every time I go to Clear Lake. Welcome back J!! Move next door to Behad and then you get access to his BBQ.
Well, after 21 years in Houston and 25 years in Texas, I'm leaving for good in September to move back to my hometown of Billings, MT. Honestly, the main things I'll miss about Houston are the Rockets, Texans, Aggies, (thank goodness for league pass and Red Zone channel) Tex Mex, and a few of the folks here. Other than that, I'm pumped to be going home to be near my family, fantastic fishing/hunting/camping, my real home and 4 true seasons. What I won't miss are traffic, oppressive heat, smog, Longhorn fans, and driving for a half hour minimum to get someplace. Big Sky country, here I come!
Congrats J, can't believe is been 4 years since you left the island, it seems like it was yesterday you picked up Yoyo at the airport and came to game 1 of the Jazz series in 08.
Welcome home! I just got back from Dallas helping a lifelong Katy resident move. Sucks for him. Balance is restored in the Force.
Beautiful state, but I wouldn't want to be there in the winter. Any place you have to set yourself on fire to stay warm in the winter scares the hell out of me. Most of the other stuff you talked about are definite plusses. A lot of them are why I now want to get the hell out of city hell. I knew a guy from Montana who went to Duke. I asked him where he lived and he couldn't tell me. I'm not sure it was a city. Maybe he had something to hide or it really wasn't a city. lol.
You wouldn't happen to be working for a certain insurance company that has its corporate offices in League City and Galveston would you? Just curious because I've been working at both places this summer.
You're kidding right? The actual quote is*"Houston, we've had a problem"*They changed it for the movie.
Welcome back. I know exactly how you feel. I was living in Dallas for the past couple of years and just got a job back in Houston 2 months ago. It's awesome. I am so damn happy to be back. I just couldn't stand Dallas. Especially those ****ty drivers.
