I don't think that's the point. He just needs play like an 8 million dollar guy each year. It actually works against the cap like that. Some ppl get caught up in the balloon payment and go off on how he's not a 15 million dollar guard, etc., etc. - but it really doesn't work that way.
I think his cap hit against Houston is spread apart evenly over the 3 years, I may be way off on that though
2012.02.10 got to be one of the saddest days for many Clutch fans after Lin scored 38 on Lakers. Many called for Morey's head for letting Lin go knowing he was better than Flynn. Morey's famous phrase, "Nobody knew he was that good." And nobody KNEW he would be back in Houston six months later. A twisted of fate!
Yup! That all important cap hit is 8.3 x 3. Want to add that it was a double blow; Knicks out of lottery, Rockets' pick getting worse and worse....
Lol yeah Kobe pushed him. Ha. No biggie. It is good to see Lin not taking **** from nobody on the court seeing as how he is such a nice guy off the court. Kobe has been one of the few players who really stuck his head out for Lin and said something positive about him after the fiasco that was Lin's free agency.
Yes and no. The money that will actually be paid is 5,5,15. But the cap hit is 8,8,8. (round numbers) The point is, if he is worth 8 per, then he is underpaid in his first two years. so using the 15M to say he's overpaid is misleading. You'll have to ask, Is a guy like that worth 25M for 3 years?
