I could never see myself pay to play online. Thats why I'm loyal to the ps3. But truth be told, I'm not really into games no more.

The Dreamcast was great...I have one, unfortunately. NFL 2K2, NBA 2K, and Virtua Tennis FTW.

Seems like most of the rant is about the Vita. Well, I can't say anything about that, because I really don't care about handhelds at all. I only have a PSP because a friend found one in a rental car and didn't want it. But I have no interest at all in paying for one.

As for PS3 vs. 360, however, the PS3: 1. plays blu-rays, 2. has free online play, and 3. has more exclusive games that I actually care about: Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted series, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Demons' Souls, Disgaea 3 and 4, InFamous, Metal Gear Solid 4. Yeah, most of these games are older, and maybe Sony's slipping now, but not enough to make me jump ship.

You're in your 20s and are still a fanboy? Lol, believe me, I was a Nintendo fanboy then turned into a sony fanboy, but I stopped caring when I hit college. I find it hard to believe that someone in their 20s is still a fanboy like yourself, getting all mad and stuff over video games.

I don't care now. Probably cause I have more important stuff going on.

Going back to you though, the ps3 is still better than the 360. I'm not sure what you want. You're complaining about how many games aren't exclusive anymore to ps3. Thats it. Lol. Mind you the ps3 still has more exclusives and Xbox has halo and gears, can't even think of another major exclusive they have. How is that impressive?

I also don't want to pay for online. Ps3 is also a bluray player which is convenient.

So in the end, I'm not sure what you are talking about op.

    Ps3 > 360 > wii

Almost every game that is cross platform performs better on the xbox than ps3. Graphics, framerate, screen tearing, performance, etc... Its almost not even close.

I'm just not an XBox Live kind of guy. You're telling me I have to pay $50 a year to use my Netflix app?

    No thanks.

The PS3 is not entirely to blame for that, most multi-plat games are ported to the PS3 (although have gotten a tad better over the years) and most of them are poorly done. Obviously if you look at games like the Uncharted series and God of War 3.. they are visually stunning games and show what the PS3 is capable of.

It's really a shame some of the ports have just been down right awful, a prime example is Skyrim. Bethesda did a terrible job porting that game to the PS3 and they have no excuse for work like that.. I mean I understand that the PS3 more complex system when it comes to developing games on it but cmon now... it's 2012. Obviously from the exclusives it has been figured out. Hopefully the next Playstation console will come with a friendlier developer kit so we won't go through some of the terrible porting we've seen this gen.

You're completely right, but the fact still remains that the overall gaming experience, aside from the few exclusives, is generally better on the xbox. And since an overwhelming majority of games are cross platform, it only makes sense to say that the gaming experience is better on the xbox.

On a side note, it still boggles my mind when people complain that 4 bucks a month is too much for online gaming. Every single person blows more than that a month on something unnecessary.

Well just to blatantly state that the 360 is a better overall experience is a very opinionated statement especially cause all you said was it's better on xbox, I can't tell if you're trying to force it into peoples minds that is aka just being a fanboy or you just truly believe without a second thought. Me personally I use my PS3 generally for the exclusives and sports games so that's really all I need out of it.

Though if you wanted a PS3 for the full experience, Games, Netflix, Music, Online store content etc... in my unbiased opinion I would say that easily it matches up to the 360 now. Noticed I said "now" if you would've told me this 4 years ago I would've agreed and said that 360 provides a better overall experience but the ps3 has made some big strides over the years with exclusives, system patches, and online content.

I do agree though about the minor fee for the 360 online service. I wouldn't have a problem with it but I know many that do and to have that free option with the ps3 is very appealing. Free > any costs

Early rumors of PS4 specs imply that it will be easier to develop for, though who knows for sure. I want to say Vita was pretty good, though I might be mistaken.

Would you complain if Facebook (or...Google/Yahoo/etc.) started charging $4 a month to use their service? With no improvements over competing, free services (and still with lots of ads)?

It boggles my mind that people defend MS charging for this service. The problem isn't necessarily the price, but the fact that others offer a similar quality of service (sometimes better) for free (and they certainly wouldn't charge AND bombard users with ads). It is one thing to pay $60 for an unnecessary game (or whatever), but that's usually the standard rate for those type of things. Online play is usually free...except with XBL. Hence the complaints.

Even worse, MS charges money to simply have the ability to subscribe to services like Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, etc. They're not even offering the service, and one could skip the charge by using another device.

If more people would reject these kind of practices, XBL would probably be free (that worked in the PC version of XBL). As it is, I'm worried other services will begin to charge for online play, simply because MS has shown people will throw away their money (and accept being bombarded with ads) for no good reason. Thanks guys.

I'm not a gamer in the least.

I play Madden, NCAA, and NBA 2k. Occasionally I'll buy the new FPS at the time (But it always gets traded in for one of those first three.)

I watch movies and TV shows on Netflix, Zune, HBOGo, and CinemaNow.

My 360 is perfect for what I use it for. Just wish it play Blu-ray movies.

I used to be just like you, but overtime I have come to the conclusion, that I would rather pay 30 bucks or whatever the amount is, and have a better overall expiernce online than pay nothing, and have a crap expiernce, crap browser. It is true when they say you get what you pay for

Its not even about being a Nintendo Fanboy, or PS4 Fanboy. Its common sense, Until i see the internet and server the PS4 will be using, as of today i will only be getting the WII-U, and the 720

I love games like God of War, and the Uncharted Series, but not enough to miss out on another Next-Gen cycle like i did with the 360. Sony needs a reality check, and they have to understand that we as gamers need you to show us that you actually care about the products and systems that you are putting on the market. The fact that they are re-releasing PS2 games in HD is a BAD sign.

How can it get better, answer...IT WONT. Because all of the important licenses are multi-plat. And also the 720 will have wifi t launch( obviously), and by using HD discs. This could get ugly bad for Sony next gen sales wise

I could less what game looks better on whichever system, the problem for me is that it is a bad sign that the 720 is taking a LOT of former Sony exclusives, and they dont seem to be slowing down anytime soon

In the past i could live with the XBOX looking better graphically and having a slighty better playing expierence than the Playstation because Sony always cared about their fans and Playstations always had the better games. Now you look today, and you see most of the great games that defined Sony are also with Microsoft. The only reason that you would buy a PS4 is because you love Uncharted, God of War, Ratchet, and Gran Turismo( thats really it)

I mean Sony does not care about its fans anymore, the damn Vita has been out all summer, no new announcements. NOTHING, smh. This is pathetic

Trust me this is coming from a HARDCORE supporter of Sony, and im telling you right now, do not be surprised to see the 720 destroy the PS4 at launch. The PS3 was that bad
