You should be. I'm just on a factual level. Just remind these delusional people about facts.

you got to realize Tracy McGrady fans are just jealous that their hero never accomplished what they think he should have achieved.

McGrady doesn't deserve anything he hasn't earned. that's the simple truth that his fans have a incredibly hard time understanding.

Let's see here on this thread, Derek Rose gets bucketed with McGrady because McGrady fans somehow think that :

    1. Rose got hurt = McGrady gets hurt
    2. Rose won the MVP = McGrady was a 'candidate' at some point in his career

You have to debunk their lack of facts and logic.

so what? McGrady getting hurt? He's injury prone. He's been like for a long time.

Do they even remember how Rose got hurt or why? refresh their memories.

    Clutchfans dictionary :

MVP Type Player: Term used by McGrady fans to justify mentioning him next to real MVP winners in the NBA.

I got to educate these people. obviously they failed NBA 101.

This chapter is MVPs vs non-MVPs
and Derek Rose, injured in a playoff game MVP, vs Tracy McGrady,non-MVP, I'll announce that i'm injured through Stephen A Smith.

With the Bulls supposedly hoping to dump Rip Hamilton, McGrady may have a decent shot at a full time starting job for the first time in a long while. Belinelli is a small minutes 3-point specialist off the bench, and that's it. Tracy would do well to drop his "no back to backs" insistence after 4 years if he wants to earn/keep that starting role, though.

Looking forward to the twice monthly 13-6-5 performance that brings a youtube highlight reel including 6-8 McGrady managing an uncontested dunk, and 2 pages of fans coming out of the woodwork to clamor about how T-Mac's back.

MVPs carry their teams to wins, advanced stats for the past 3 years show that Bulls were more efficient without Rose and had nearly the same winning-percentage.

And I don't see how you use mvp votes as something to back up your point, history has shown the mvp votes are a shame.

He nowhere had the same effect on his team as Dwight or Bron.

I think he's a candidate for Finals MVP in the future, but he's no regular season type MVP. Points and assists don't show your effect on your team's winning record and efficiency.

Your original comment was "biggest waste of talent ever." I guess we just have different definitions of wasting talent. Whatever, it happens.

Multiple all star appearances, scoring titles, all nba teams, etc, account for something in the very least. Once again not saying he didn't disappoint. But yeah, doing all those things in the most competitive basketball league in the world is an accomplishment in anyone's eyes who doesn't have a warped view of things.

    <br>
Again, you're just proving my point for me. Everything you're saying is hearsay. Dig up some articles that state such things and I will post about 20 more that contradict them. I've been through this with tinman at least 5 times already.

Regardless, this topic is a tired one. You're gonna hate on him no matter what because he failed your expectations. It happens. I guess what bothers me more than anything is people's ability to not give credence to any part of the other side's argument when debating something they're butthurt about

In all honesty, you're probably right, I probably do have more of an I'll picture of him in my head than most do. I will be the first to admit my butthurtedness, I will even post pictures. You jerk around with my Rockets and your dead to me, DEAD JERRY!.

Do you think McGrady is proud of never winning? Do you think it doesn't eat at him?

Why do you think he's still in the league playing for the minimum, despite the immense amount of hate and ambivalence that he gets from fans?

The dude has had a good personal career. It takes a few dominoes to fall to have team success, and we shouldn't hold it against him for not taking us to the promised land any more than we hold it against Adelman, Yao, Battier, or Ryan Bowen. It's obvious that he wanted (and wants) success. I hope he can find it.

Rose is a Chicago native and Bulls fans love that a hometown hero is playing for them and is a MVP and led them to the Eastern Conference Finals.
    He's also humble.

Can't say that about other players who endorse the same brand of shoe.

That's no reply to my comment at all. Show advanced stats that show he's a deserving MVP, not just a fan favourite.

    there is no 'deserving' MVP.

    there's just MVP.

You can pretend that he didn't win in your mind or he didn't deserve it. But he did win it. In the real world he's the MVP.

    Its about facts.

So a award he didn't really deserve makes him a better player? I don't get it. Is Barkley worse than Bosh because he won no ring?
