Boston Mayor Letter to Chick-Fil-A bashes them over their anti-gay stance

The question is really whether or not this was an abuse of power. He can talk about whatever he wants to over coffee with his friends but to publicize the letter on what I take to be official stationery is very questionable.

The Chick-Fil-A guy owns his business and has not been accused or charged or convicted with sexual discrimination to my knowledge.

This guy is a public servant and owns nothing that he represents.

Chick-fil-A is well on their way to their best sales day ever. Nice to see good, honest Americans standing up for their Christian beliefs and freedom of speech in the face of intolerance and bigotry from the left.

My effort WRT Chick-Fil-A is a rousing success. I got a much better meal at a much lower price and didn't stand in line for an hour to do so.

I don't mind that people are eating at Chick fil a today, but I don't understand BRAGGING about it. how tacky can you get?

that being said, the CFA on the border of West Hollywood, one of the gayest gayborhoods in the country has a line of cars like that almost daily.

a controversy like this does nothing as far as any social movement goes, just brings out tacky posts on message boards and facebook.

the last time CFA was in the news for supporting anti gay foundations, the hoopla led me straight to the chain just to see what all the fuss was about...

they don't discriminate like the Boy Scouts of America. but what's the point of CHEERING for a guy who doesn't want people who are in love to be together?

I am so thankful for the liberal leaning christians I know that OBLITERATE any notion that all who support gay marriage are liberal anti Christian leftists.

 

Chic Fil A can think whatever they want. I couldn't care less...

But I think I'll boycott them for a while anyways getting tired of seeing people post pictures of their sandwiches on twitter/facebook...Really?

Liberals with their immoral values tried to shut down a good Christian operation with intimidation and bullying tactics... and American values won the day. Progressives wanted to do financial harm to Chick-fil-A, and the those who still stand for freedom of speech won the day.

I don't know of anyone, liberal or otherwise, who actually "tried to shut down" Chick-Fil-A.

All the conservatives who went to Chick-Fil-A today got served, an overpriced meal. I think the value proposition at other establishments is better, which is the reason I chose Taco Bell today, more, better food at a lower price.

 

I sorry but all I can do is laugh at everybody involved in the whole Chick-Fil-A situation.

Boycotting a fast food restaurant because of the owners stance on homosexuality (for the record I disagree with him.) but c'mon there are more serious issues at work here.

Apparently it is okay to sell people highly processed, oil boiled (not even fried) "food", highly carbonated sugar loaded beverages and heavily salted oil boiled potatoes. It is even okay to sell these highly destructive products to young children that, when combined with a sedentary lifestyle increase the odds of life threatening diseases at younger ages as well as lead to childhood obesity. Nobody seems to have a problem with that. You can kill them and their children slowly all you want but don't you DARE say anything about marriage rights *rolleyes*

 

I didnt stop going to Chik fil a because they hate gay people. I stopped going because every time I go there someone says God Bless You. I just want some chicken, you can keep the religion.

 

Rahm Emanuel tried to prevent Chick-fil-A from coming to Chicago, then embarrassingly had to reverse his position (no doubt after poll or focus group information was given to him). I'm also not sure if you have heard of the internet website Twitter.com? Progressives everywhere tried to dissuade others from going to Chick-fil-A, using intimidation and bullying tactics. Intolerance and bigotry were defeated today.

 

Its an expression and one that wishes good will upon you. Lighten up man.

 

That's really creative how intolerance of bigotry of gay people is the way conservatives define bigotry. It explains a lot about how conservatives are such fans of ignoring bigotry against minorities while touting perceived slights against the whites.
