What's with all these ugly, barby doll looking, fake breasts having women? Cheerleading is the most ridiculous aspect of sports, besides the little band they have at college games. Why don't they just keep this nonsense in college or just get rid of it. There's no reason for these women to shake their asses, show half of their naked bodies when there are children in the audience. Save it for the stripclub.
I'm with you on this one. I much prefer the breakdancing group during the rockets games than the cheerleaders. It's a shame they only come out once towards the end of the game. Although...this opinion may be based only on the fact that the RPDs haven't had a dancer worth looking twice at in a few years...
Silly. Most of these girls have been dancing all of their lives and want to work in the their profession, that's all. Some aspire to work in sports management and see RPD as not only great resume material but an opportunity to experience the inner workings of a sports organization. They spend far more time doing charity work and appearances than you give credit, and most of them are really good kids with aspirations to rule the world - At least I know one who is.
This is ignorant. RPD's aren't strippers. They are DANCERS. Most of them have studied dance, and train for hours and hours during the week to become better at their craft. And, shockingly, they are not trying to shake their asses for men. They truly enjoy dancing of all kinds, be it hip hop, salsa, ballroom, or modern. It's another form of entertainment at the game, just like the breakdancers. And if they happen to dress a little scandalously, it's because they have nice bodies, and people like looking (men AND women) at people who look good.
Hey, An had a run as the hottest RPD for a couple of years. I was devastated when she retired before last season.
Can we make this into the momentary self righteous fail that was THIS thread from years back ? (no) Alright I'm getting back to posting about basketball in this acidic "Linsanity" environment. Was a nice "eye candy" departure for a moment.
