lol @ the folks scrambling to justify the negative feelings on the Watt pick ..."hey, it was all about the position he played!!"

Seriously, why does any of that matter anymore?? Watt is a stud, and the Texans were awesome for drafting him. THE END!

Let's move on to more relevant subject matter.....O/U 8 1/2 sacks for Watt this season?

if the texans blow up i could see the rockets benefitting if a lot of texan players are also rockets fans and frequent visitors at games.

Wow I just took a look at the thread in your link and it seems like everyone just pounced all over The Cat for apparently at first hating on the Texans then for being such a big ass homer for actually liking the pick. SWTwig was the worst of all. What a hater.

But no most of the reactions I took came from the NFL Draft thread. Pretty good stuff.

Typical of ClutchFans , shortsighted buffoons who fail to see the bigger picture.

JJ Watt is exactly what he was drafted to be . A high motor guy. What happens when you have a high motor? Things happen. That is exactly what I love about him. Just be relentless.

He is not athletic , so you won't see him with high sack numbers and he will never win DPOY.

The best we can ask for is guy that has to be double teamed at times ala Aaron Smith (a rich man's version).

    I partly see it as

If you can give props to someone who was decisive in an accurate opinion
Why so much grief to the person who was decisive in their inaccurate opinion

They both stuck their neck out with opinions, compared the ones that didnt sitting on the fence but still want to judge results

Though yes, a main definition of "fail" is naysayers being decidedly WRONG :)

I still am totally amused at all the resident draft experts who were up in arms saying that Watt was a terrible pick. Yes, I'm talking to you.

Happens in every sport, every year.

that's why i usually never judge a player until they ACTUALLY get playing time in the pro

sports is hard to predict at any player or any team. just because that certain player didn't not appealing to you it doesn't mean he won't be productive to the team
