I want Dwight at the trade deadline. If we trade for him before the season starts anything can happen. Getting him at the trade deadline (after Orlando promises they will trade him to BK to convince him to play) is probably the cheapest way to get him.

Dwight without the ability to play the injury card and no time to pull the stunts he pulled in Orlando with the Rockets would be so much better.

So you want us to work with the Magic in an effort to fool and lie to Howard and trick him to come here and not trust the Rocket organization once he arrives? If we do that he would definitely not re-sign here.

Nope. I just want him at the next trade deadline when he cannot demand a trade or walk to LA or BK. I would like to see him play after his back injury. If Orlando tells Dwight they will trade him to BK, but that he should play when he can to give everyone, including BK, a better look at him. Lopez will suck and the Rockets rookies will have shown their worth in the NBA. The Toronto pick worries me a bit.

I'll take being 7 feet tall and going grey in early 20s in the genetic lottery all day.

I don't think they really care for trading him at this point. Apparently, it's a nigh guarantee Dwight will march over to Dallas if we do get him without having to give up anything.

Also: How is a deal with the Lakers superior if the Magic do not want Bynum?

I don't understand why. What are the advantages to playing in Dallas over Houston? No bias against or for.

Dwight will never walk to Dallas if traded here. A hollow threat by his agent, and wishful thinking by the Mavs that it could happen.

Nothing, it's a bluff. Dwight's agent sees the amount of leverage Houston has if they don't want to play ball. Morey can say we prefer to have the cap space over Brook Lopez. Dwight would re-sign in Houston than give up all that money to sign with the Mavs. His agent would support that decision.

We can let him walk to Dallas then sign Bynum if we want to.

Nelson trying to make sure LA doesn't get Dwight, while openly admitting his offer isn't good enough.

Lmao what the f$&k does Dallas have that would make Howard give up 30 million to walk over there. Play his buff.

Or don't and play the rooks, I've had about enough with this circus.

    This

Trying to look at it from Dwight's side:

Dallas, Dirk, Dollars(although less if he walks), Duban err Cuban :p

    12 straight years of winning
12 straight years making the playoffs.
Would be coming off a championship 3 seasons prior.(However much stock you put into that)
Probably feels confident that Cuban can/will build a great team he can win with/be on.
No pressure to live up to great centers(say like LA or Houston, compared to NJ or Dallas). Supposedly this is a reason.

Would he walk? I have no idea. Some say yes, some say no.
