The stories below are from today alone, proving you dead wrong in the matter of minutes. There are so so many examples of this. The Democrat's opposition to integrity in the voting process is very telling... http://redalertpolitics.com/2012/07...-sent-to-prison-for-10-counts-of-voter-fraud/ Mississippi NAACP leader sent to prison for 10 counts of voter fraud While NAACP President Benjamin Jealous lashed out at new state laws requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison, sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme. In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee. Sowers received a five-year prison term for each of the 10 counts, but Circuit Court Judge Charles Webster permitted Sowers to serve those terms concurrently, according to the Tunica Times, the only media outlet to cover the sentencing. “This crime cuts against the fabric of our free society,” Judge Webster said. Because contrary to what you're told about the political process, things could be SOOOOOOO much worse than they are now. You just can't believe that. The thing people like thadeus think when they cry for term limits is that they look at Mr. Smith goes to Washington and think he's what you'll get from a freshman Congressman. I look at the Tea Party, the wackjob freshman who didn't know **** about economics or the debt ceiling and et cetera and who the left spent so much time complaining about and see THAT as the result if you let more freshman representatives in. You'll get crazy ideologues. Also, Trader Jorge is not a fascist. At all. Pathetic how that word just gets slung around.
this is a losing battle for left, as bad as gun control voter ID laws are wildly popular http://argojournal.blogspot.com/2012/07/poll-watch-ppp-d-pennsylvania-survey-on.html
I agree We should go back to what the founding fathers envisioned. Only white male property owners be allowed to vote. That's what TJ is suggesting *** women and the blacks
Lose the argument (badly), time to play that race card! Weak effort. You are really cold -- maybe time to sit out a while and regroup? Your bottom is red from all the spankings.
Who's playing the race card? You said it, you own it. Why you were allowed back on this site I'll never understand.
mcmark, you should be banned for manipulating my quote in your post #48 and lying about it, in a shameful effort to call me a racist. I know it must pain you to be a few steps behind in every single argument, but what you are doing is lower than low. You should be banned. I'm sorry that you are not as smart as me -- perhaps you should choose weaker opponents to debate? I do not report posts, but if I did, that's one that I would report. Calling people a racist is bad enough, but manipulating a quote by putting in racial lines that were not there is just beyond the pale.
It's exactly what you implied and I stand by what I said. You should have never been allowed back in this forum. GOOD NIGHT
No abuses coming out of that Churches and non-profit charities have less votes than Bernie Madoff. If someone wants to improve their voting status from entry level work or custodial work, to get in work that contributes more into the voting pot so they get into the "voters club", that could open up more impropriety and bribes and old boys network that profile and accept people on their own interpretation. Your housewife of 30 years would have less voting power than you. Boosting up one side marginalizes the other. Might as well call secretaries and janitors and housewives 3/5's human.
More evidence that cries of voter fraud is just that....fraud An analysis of more than 250 claims of fraud in the Supreme Court's photo ID case - Finding not one proven case of a fraudulent vote that the challenged law could prevent - Exposing false assertions that photo ID is required for common activities THe truth about voter fraud, examining inflated claims of voter fraud nationwide In 5-Year Effort, Scant Evidence of Voter Fraud WASHINGTON, April 11 — Five years after the Bush administration began a crackdown on voter fraud, the Justice Department has turned up virtually no evidence of any organized effort to skew federal elections, according to court records and interviews. Debunking claims of double voting, dead voters, and more
Let's just call it what it is.... via Huffington Post -- By contrast, there is ample evidence that voter ID laws inhibit voting, particularly among minorities and the poor — two major demographic segments that tend to vote Democratic. And that’s hardly a coincidence. Consider the recent bragging by the Pennsylvania House Republican leader that his state’s voter ID bill “is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania.” This is not simply another gratuitously partisan act by the GOP. This is an attack on the very notion of democracy. The voter ID push, along with intimidation of voter registration groups and purges of voter rolls have only one goal: blocking legitimate but probably Democratic voters from exercising their constitutional rights. It is a poll tax with a new twist.
Protecting the integrity of the voting process is a good thing. Unfortunately, Voter ID laws are designed, not to protect the integrity, but to suppress the vote of Democratic constituencies. Not based on anything I have seen. Everything I have seen indicates that voter fraud is, at worst, a minuscule problem. If you accept the contention above that 239 dead people voted in Texas last year (discounting whether they were alive when they voted and then subsequently died), if only 10% of the state cast votes that year (25% of the 18.8 million voting age adults generally cast ballots in Presidential elections), then the total voter fraud there is... .0053% http://www.texastribune.org/texas-politics/2012-elections/texas-adults-leave-voting-small-minority/ Or, as Occam's Razor would say, there is no voter fraud going on, McCain knew it, and knew that making such allegations would be Quixotic at best. Actually, the DoJ, not the Democrats, are the ones who found that in Texas alone, acquiring picture ID in some locations in Texas is so onerous that the Voter ID law was struck down until the Legislature made it easy enough to get ID that any legitimate voter could easily do so. Yes, Voter ID laws designed to suppress Democratic constituencies are pathetic, as are the politicians and people who support such terrible legislation. Assuming facts not in evidence. If there was any appreciable amount of actual voter fraud going on, you would have a point. There isn't, so you don't. Except for the fact that these laws are designed specifically to reduce turnout among Democratic constituencies, but I understand that is a HUGE part of the appeal for partisans like you.
"The Harder you make it to vote the less likely folx are to vote . .. . MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" - Republicans Rocket River
wow, you are a g damn joke. this is exactly why the tea party came out from the shadows...to put people like you in their place come November.
Such a lost soul. I'm sorry you can't handle the truth but Mr Obama is going to crush Romney in November. But that's not what this thread is about. Please stay on topic.
He won't crush him. He will most likely win (voters are a "what have you done for me now?" kind of people) so if something happens, natural disaster, terrorist attack, stock market crash, etc. he could lose valuable points. I think he'll win by about 10 points , that's not considered crushing is it?
