There was no condescension.

I was making a comment on the fact that his name was Lil Pun and then went on to use "chaps people's asses" in a thread about gay marriage. It was amusing.

I don't oppose gay marriage, champ.

Your movement is losing hearts and minds on a grand scale -- please try harder.

 

I've mentioned my differences with Obama's even after he came out in favor of Gay marriage. His belief that it should be a state's right is ridiculous. In matters of civil rights it should be a national policy, and a national issue.

At the same time, I realize that he's done more for Gay rights than any other President. Of the presidential candidates with a chance to win, he's far and away in the lead.

But he's absolutely not where he should be.

He doesn't close on Sundays to attract customers. He closes on Sundays because he believes it should be a day of "rest." Talk about re-interpretation!

Again, what specific legal actions has Mennino taken or threatened? Also from what I recall of Boston is that the city does have a non-discrimination ordinance. If Chick-Fil-A's policies are discriminatory (something I haven't seen) then the mayor is correct that they will have problems getting a business license.

 

I know it's so ridiculous that people have opinions that they are expressing!

 

So there is a Chikfila down the road from me. They have a huge flag pole out front with a American and Texan flag. I think it would be fun to fly a gay pride flag below it.

I was just puzzled by what I thought was your suggestion that closing on Sunday helped business. I think people would go there if he were open on Sunday. If anything I would guess it hurts business.

FWIW I don't think it is their property. I think it would be the property of the commercial real estate company. Anyhow, it's not like it is a huge act of defacement. It's just like putting a sign on their front door...nothing major.

 

Why are you so bent out of shape regarding the opinions of those who don't share the same opinons as the CEO? Do politically correct people not deserve to have their free speech rights upheld?

 

Would people be as upset, less upset, or more upset if the McDonalds CEO said blacks don't deserve the right to vote?
