Obviously I saw the word potentially I had it in my response to your post. It was only summer league so a lot can definitely change. Players tear it up in the summer league and go on to be complete busts, and others stink it up and go on to be great. I just wasn't very impressed with Machado, during some sequences he looked like he could be an above average facilitator but on others especially defensively he looked pretty lost.

I just find it comical that if you listen to some of the people on Clutchfans, (including you coach), we've got a Boston Celtics circa 1985 type of run headed our way...YAY!!!

    Lin/Steve Nash
    Lamb/Reggie Miller
    White/LeBron James
    D-Mo/Dirk Nowitzki
    T-Jones/Dwight Howard

I actually saw Machado coming on in like games 4 and 5. I saw him making good passes and hitting a lot of his shots. Definitely enough to come off the bench and relieve Lin.

You're making it hard to accept tanking...er, uh, rebuilding with propaganda like this!

No doubt we have talent on this team, but it's raw and untested. I fear we don't have the staff to make quality gems out of these rough-cut diamonds. I hope I'm wrong.

We'd be inexperienced, but we exploit our youth by pushing up and down the court every play till the older teams tire out. Coach Carter says it works

Lamb probably has the most upside as of right now from what I have seen. D Mo also has a higher ceiling for now since 7fters with skill are almost extinct in the NBA right now.

"We feel this was the best deal for us. We talked to a lot of teams. There were options that we looked at, lot of permutations. At the end of the day, you look at what's available in theory and what's available in reality, and sometimes those things aren't the same."

The Rockets fans need to have more faith in the rookies. The Rockets obviously do. ;)

According to this Poll, many members are underestimating Jones.

I think he is going to have the biggest impact immediately.

Then I see Lamb, Motie and finally White picking up slowly.

I agree. Also, i think he will have the most potential long term. His versatility is the key.

I am assuming the Fab5Five would be:
    Machado
    Lamb
    White
    DMo
    Jones

Some would be quick to write Machado off. As a matter of fact, he may not be around for long. I can see him being a Lowry-lite if he were to better that shot and tighten up on defense.

I think either Royce or PPat will be the odd man out next season. One of them is likely to be pulling bench duties.

Motiejunas and it's not close. No way should Lamb be winning this. He's a totally one-dimensional player right now--scoring. That dimension might be very promising, but when he doesn't bring anything else to the table, forget it. Shocked that the same forum which despises Kevin Martin so much loves Lamb so much.

Motiejunas brings a lot more than Lamb to the table. He's a legit 7 footer who can score in a variety of ways, rebound, hustle, run the floor, set picks. Has some defensive potential as well, and although he will never be a true stopper, he can be solid defender like Pau Gasol.

Seriously idiotic that Lamb has 50% of the vote and D-Mo only 28%.
