Lithuanian coach refused to guarantee him heavy playing time so he decided to join our summer league instead.
Did anyone watch that Spain vs. Honduras game? One of the tensest matches I've ever seen. Spanish players looked like they were about to mob and kill the refs. LOL.
I don't get synchronized diving. Why not have a separate synchronized version of every sport? Like maybe a synchronized slam dunk contest or weightlifting.

I have little choice but to assume that when the favorite and world champion gets destroyed in that fashion that there is something strange going on.
We probably had as many if not more athletes doping as the Chinese, tougher tests might be worse for us.
haha, I saw the last 10 mins, and yeah some spanish players were already pushing the ref, and all, and he just gave a yellow card. they were so mad, but its not the ref faulth that they havent score a goal in the olympics.
Man Jordan Wieber got robbed ...4th best all around score after qualifying but misses the individual all around because she's thrid on her team. Shouldnt be about the country but about the athletes.
Is anyone else having trouble signing in to NBCOlympics.com in with their U-Verse account? I want to watch ping pong and badminton matches.
I think it's always been the rule, but I never noticed. Just seems they should take the top 24 qualifiers regardless of country.
Or maybe he really does hate phelps and will do everything to prevent him from winning another gold medal
is there some rationale behind such a rule? this isn't like the baseball all-star game where every team gets a representative. this is the olympics. why you wouldn't want the absolute best regardless of country i don't know. i also don't know how gabby only lost floor to jordyn by .5 or so with such a huge mistake but i'm not a gymnastics scoring expert. i also don't get how athletes deal with such a strange dynamic as this (or maybe they just pretend to deal with it). you're part of a team but essentially your just individuals competing against each other and the team aspect is just summing up individual scores. if i'm jordyn i'm rooting for ally to fall all over the place on her last routine (and vice versa if i'm ally watching jordyn). having to smile and talk with someone who just stole your dream (made especially worse in a judging sport where you might feel like you were screwed) just seems so hard to me. maybe i'm just too petty a person.
Yeah you're right. It looks like before 2004 three were allowed. And apparently several other gymnasts fell to the same fate as her.
also, i already wasn't the biggest lochte fan. what's up with messing up the 4x100 gold? lochte nation must not have provided enough inspiration.
