I've decided weightlifting is the most cringe inducing sport. Everytime a competitor puts the bar over their head I am expecting one of their elbows to snap.
Just to add another thing I am pissed at NBC for is that you can't watch the Judo competitions, even online, unless you are an Xfinity subscriber. (at least in my region.)
Im shocked reading here, how NBC tape delays major events like the opening ceremony, or one of the swimming finals with Michael Phelps on it. thats weak. why not showing the events live, and show a replay of the most important moments at night. and I still think Phelps still win 1 or 2 gold medals, and 2 other medals, that medley wasnt his strength.
I don't understand why they are making it hard for people to watch live or full replys of the events online. It was easy in 2008. Now you have to have your account number and crap. I have direct tv, but I don't like going through all the hassle.
You guys only got NBC to watch the games over there? Or do the subscription channels have more content? Here is Australia they've put on about 9 channels for the Olympics, pretty much everything live, it has been great but I have wasted a lot of my time watching sports I would never normally care a bit about just because there is an Aussie in it.
When I saw her blow Beisel away like that it reminded me of the East German women. Hard to believe that Chinese swimmer isn't on something. Beisel was the world champ in that event and got smoked. Seemed very fishy.
I appreciated the people who gave advice to watch online, but it still sucks (my cable provider is not listed). I hate NBC. I haven't watched NBC since Frasier. Here it is, 5:40 in the A.M. and not a single event being shown. I agree that women must be the target audience. I don't give a rat's ass about the athlete interviews. Honestly, why am I watching Chris Matthews? This guy is a clown.
How do you know Beisel, Phelps, Lochte, and LeBron aren't chemically pumped up? (And I remember when Shaq's eyes were yellowish -- a sure sign of steroid abuse.) The drug testers are almost certainly far, far behind the athletes' pharmacology. And this is true all over the world.
To expand on my previous post... Since our testers are so far behind the athletes, we have little choice but to assume that they are innocent until proven guilty. For now. We should of course continue working flat out on developing better doping tests.
where can i watch the olympics online? such as the swimming races that you guys were talking about. missed them T.T
Huertas really should have given the NBA a shot. Vision and passing ability like his always translates.
NBC has many channels as well as internet video NBC easily has the most staff in London, about 4 times the amount of the next closest media outlet, the BBC. 2700 staff vs. about 765 for the BBC. we'll be alright in the US
Lol wasn't having a dig mate, a simple yes would of done. Just mentioned because of all the complaints about delays. Anyone catch Brazil/Aus basketball game? Two of the worst unsportsmanlike fouls you will ever see called. The first on Splitter which was a foul but not a bad one, the second on Mills which wasn't even a foul... let alone unsportsmanlike. Shame we had to get an American ref against a team with that many NBA players, it was just like a Rockets game against one of the ESPN lovechilds with all the star player calls, it's the best thing about FIBA ball is no player is considered different to another. Then again they scored 1/4 of their points off turnovers so our own fault.
