Anything that says Jose Calderon 7.7 - Derrick Rose 7.3
    and
    Javale McGee 5.5 - Dirk Nowitzki 5.1
went horribly wrong somewhere along the way.

Dude, are you ****ing serious? He's 28 y.o. and one of the most athletic players in the game. Widely regarded as a top tier defender, he can guard anybody on the perimeter.

They are totally fact based. And have been doing it for many years. Their metrics may be skewed but it provides an analysis based on stats. Besides, it is approximate right?

that can be said about any stats.
sure, but in the end useless.
much easier to build a stronger argument using a variety of individual and team stats.

e.g. no way i take Marcus Camby over Lamarcus Aldridge. Different between them - 5 points (advantage for MC).
So, this is approximate by what, 5+ points?
That's more than the difference between Dwight Howard and Jason Kidd. So while they say that Dwight > Kidd, it's within their margin of error.
If I can't even trust it to tell me that Dwight Howard > Jason Kidd, it's useless.

Stats about relative performance of all players in the NBA are a difficult commodity to obtain. You can nit-pick all you want, but why would you want to? The people who put this together are well respected and had every stat and advanced stat at their disposal. So come up with your own metrics or take a hike.

Advanced stats or the eye test? Choose the stats every time. Confirm with an eye test. Not the other way around.

i should take a hike out of respect? that is a very well developed argument.

    Stats cannot be consumed blindly.
IF i wasn't sure about Dwight's value, that stat picture by itself would do very little to convince me.
    The flaws are obvious.

So, your eyes tell you Howard is not a +17 guy? He is the best 5 in the league. What are we arguing about?

i don't know. i said that those stats are flawed.
Dwight is a top 5 player, regardless of this batch of stats.
i don't really see much to argue about here.

you didn't like it and told me to take a hike because the people who made them are well respected.
i'm not sure why you are so edgy and rude about it.
i'm not criticizing you, just making an observation about these stats.
