I never enjoyed the sandbagging aspects in T_J's debates.

 

If you've got a business, you didn't build the roads and bridges to which that statement referred.

You have to look at the six words before the ones you chose to highlight, please go back to 5th grade reading class, you're doing it wrong.

 

So in your bizarro world, "that" refers to bridges and roads? I realize he has to tailor his speech to the crowd, but is Obama's grammar truly that bad? We all know that it is not.

If he was referring to bridges and roads he would have said "all that" or "those". And when you layer in the rest of the speech for context, it's obvious to all that he meant exactly what he said. It's an incredible insult to hard working Americans everywhere.

 

You are welcome to disparage Obama's grammar all you like, "those" would certainly have been a more appropriate word in that sentence. However, pretending that he was talking about the business, as you are, makes you...

A. A liar
B. A chump who believes liars
C. A person with worse reading comprehension than my second grade son, who was able to accurately interpret those sentences

Which is it?

Well now you are really and truly struggling to defend the indefensible. You are chalking it up to an error in grammar. Despite the context of the rest of the speech. Despite Elizabeth Warren's speech. Despite Obama's actions with regard to both government (expand) and the private sector (berate and obstruct). Despite HIS ACTUAL WORDS. Unreal.

Obama could light a man on fire and then urinate on him and what you would see is a man spontaneously combusting and Obama trying to save his life by cooling him down by any means possible. Just out of curiosity, when you see a green light, do you stop your car?
