Yep, he did remind me a bit of Reggie Miller with his long arms, particularly, when drove to the basket. It seems to me that they are utilizing their upper in a similar fashion in floater.

Does this also mean we won't win any championships as long as he's with the Rockets?

    You're kidding, right?

Without Lin, Novak prob be without a contract. I bet you didnt know he was drafted by us and sent to D leaugue, right??

Knicks claimed Novak off waiver midseason and on a vets min contract. Lin said of Novak, "he is the best shooter I'd ever seen." It took a bench player to know another bench player.

Without Linsanity, Novak would never had gotten 3P % title nor his new 15-million contract!

Okay yes that is true. But it isn't like Lin made those shots for Novak he just gave him good looks. Novak was looking for his opportunity just like Lin and he got one when Lin played. But Novak seized that moment by hitting those shots himself. He took advantage of that chance just like Lin did so the majority of the credit should go to Novak himself.

I know I sounded like I didnt give Novak enough credit. It's not like he was a great all of a sudden. He always has been a deadly shooter.

Without a consistent PG penetration and dish out, Novak is pretty much doomed with his inability to create his own shots.

Woodson is in no way an offensive genius and certainly wont make him option 1 by using 3-4 players setting double ot triple screens. The most you will see is a simple high screen by their center.

It's funny how Knicks paid 4 million/year for Novak but wouldnt pay 5 million/year for Lin for the first two years. Where is the logic?

If i had a realgm account id link this thread in the pacers forum so they can laugh at us. This is the equivalent of those stupid growth charts that project your babys height at age 18 based on his length at 3 months.

Chill out ..It's just a distraction from all the howard BS ... doesn't hurt to compare and it doesn't really mean people are actually expecting Lamb to be Reggie ...they should be comparing him to the Iceman

Don't forget about the "poison pill" that we put in Lin's contract for the 3rd year. Knicks would've had to pay a fortune in luxury tax

Awesome vid! Brough back a lot of memories. I would rank Iceman #5 on my Greatest SG's of all time. Here is my list:

    1. Jordan
    2. Kobe
    3. Wade
    4. AI
    5. Iceman
    6. Dr J (Revolutionized the modern day Bball. Jordan modeled his moves after this guy)
    7. West

Yeah I know. But Knicks signing Novak for 4-year 15 million just doesnt make any sense. Their logic is all tweisted.

They picked up a 7-year vet Novak off waiver:
    - signed to a vets minimal.
    - played in D'Antoni offense
    - fed off on a penetrating PG
    - won the 3P title
    But:
    - can't create his own shots
    - and a terrible defensive liability

    Now look at it closely:
    - D'Antoni is gone.
    - Lin is gone.

After Lin's injury, Novak went back to a waiver player, a terrible defensive liability and couldn't creat his own shots. Where is the logic in signing a long 4-year 15 mil contract when the system and PG are all gone? Oops, I forgot they are the Knicks....No wonder they keep piling up bad contracts year after year.

Lots of people comparing him to Reggie....

Sure they both have/had that stroke and move well without the ball, but
Lamb can get to the rack and finish strong.....Reggie didn't have this kind of athleticism or length...and he's so smooth. (not just his shot) Reggie had a tendency to look like he was doing the funky chicken at times. I know it's early, but this kid makes it all look effortless.....He also has the tools to become a dangerous defensive player.

Again, he reminds me a bit of Penny Hardaway.

I'm a Pacers fan, and I can tell you that you aren't alone. the Pacers fans have been drawing that comparison for two years now in Pacers boards.

he's still a long shooter and relatively cheap. they don't need him to create his own shot.
and it's not like they could've signed someone else for that money this year. They used his Early Bird rights.

He has *some* comparisons to Reggie Miller, but I think he's alot more athletic and explosive ability.
