I know it is just a joke, but seems like somewhat of an unnecessarily antagonistic thing to say especially when Love was recently concerned about the direction of the team.

I like that. NBA players today need to STFU and just play ball, kevin garnett gave Minnesota his all and just played ball. Love needs to show he can lead a team to the playoffs before opening his mouth about the "direction of the team".

Not if we trade for him in his last year. We would be able to offer hi, the ,oat money because of his bird rights. Plus he can save on taxes.

I don't think Love has anything to prove.

    Here's a question.

Is he the best shooting rebounder ever, or the best rebounding shooter ever?

If he was traded to say..Oklahoma for Harden,(hypothetical) the Thunder would wreck Miami.

All these trade talks about Dwight, I'd sell the farm for a re-signed Love, and he might be next star to demand a trade.

I hate to sound like a Kevin Love hater, but is he even that good, i mean i obviously see the stats. But they rarely translate to wins

I mean his FG% is pathetic, and i think he is kinda overrated

He is like a young Zack Randolph, in that he puts up gaudy numbers, but they rarely impact the game and results in wins. He is a terrible defender, but can rebound, and is a nice spot up 3-point shooter. I have never seen K-Love at the 3-point line( pump-fake, and drive for an easier shot)

He is a very good player, but i think he is a little overrated, certainly not as overrated as the flopping dunker Blake Griffin, but i think the best PFin the NBA is Lamarcus Aldrige

Well IMHO there's two types of whining. You can whine about your team being in the lottery and you can whine about your team sucking in the playoffs. IMHO the former type of whining is just baseless, no matter how bad your team is you should be able to take them to the playoffs if you're a real star. Players do that all the time, even guys like Tmac and Steve Francis were able to take their team there.

In this case, Love is whining about his team being bad when as the highest paid player he should be doing something about it. Kahn hasn't done a good job, but what he did wasn't that bad either, at the very least he got Rubio to be his pg and Rick Adelman to coach the team. If he really thinks he's big enough to be concerned about the state of the franchise he should be able to make them playoff worthy at the very least.

Can't judge a 3 point shooter on his FG% since it's lowered by 3PT%. You gotta look at the TS% to account for 3s.

But I agree. The guy plays small. He has no post game or defense yet he calls himself a power forward. He's an amazing rebounder and great outside shooter for a big, but until he's got a post-game, I agree he's overrated.

I used to think Dirk was 2nd tier because he had no post game. I was wrong. Love is elite.

i also think love is overrated. Dont get me wrong, he is a great player, but he is not leading his team to anything. He needs to prove he can make a team a playoff team before he enters the superstar club. He probably have stats as good as a prime time TD yet he isnt even close to affect the game the way TD did. He will never be a shotblocker but at least he could be a good positional defender... wich he is not.

superstars ie franchise players take their teams to at least .500 record by themselves. Rubio and the fuhrer are the rockstars of that team.
Love just had a good beard while he had it.

But then Nowitzki developed a back to the basket game and moved his game closer to the block. That's when he took the next step. He's unstoppable at the freethrow line and has a very good low block game.

Love will be elite when he learns to tone down the 3's and keep his game as close to the lane as possible. With his size, he can deliver one massive shoulder to the chest of his defender, spin away and hit an easy (for him) jumpshot. It's worked for Dirk all these years and it does not require him to blow his knees up.

3pt shots are not bad, in fact they are much better than long 2pt jumpers. Love's raw FG% doesn't mean much since he takes so many 3's and FTAs. His TS% is fine. His problem is that he had a bunch of teammates who couldn't shoot or defend.

I really don't think Nowitzki actually took any next step. His TS% throughout the phases of his career has remained about the same. What he gained in higher raw FG%, he lost from extra points off the 3. He basically stepped up in the 2011 playoffs and helped his underdog team to a fluke championship.
