Actually not that crazy considering how little Parsons gets paid. You can add a lot of quality players with that $.

Am I wrong, or does Iggy fill in well at the 2?

That's ridiculous. If you are talking about it in terms of what they bring to the table vs. their contracts, then maybe. But in pure basketball sense, this is ridiculous.

First off, id like for you to take a stance on something. youve mad some good points and ideas, just instead of agreeing that everyone else's suggestions are right, maybe give more insight on why you think yours are correct. mutual agreeing and backing off takes away from the chance of some good debate which is why everyone is on the boards.

to old/slow to play the 2 effectively anymore. think of him trying to guard a Monta Ellis or Jason Terry. no way he could do that. plus hes not the type of go to scorer you would want to take advantage of the size difference against the smaller 2's.

So we are getting Howard after he said yesterday he would only sign with the Mavs. That was reported on Yahoo sports. Wrong? I am so sick of Dwight Howard. I hope he never comes here.

It is a business he can say whatever he wants does not necessary mean it is true. Don't take it to personally. He really doesn't owe the fans anything at all to be honest his loyalty is too himself. I am cool with either option frankly howard or no howard, there are pro's and cons to each.

Need to have more female refs in the league so that Chandler can begin getting the Kobe / D-Rose / LeBron calls.....

Howard seems to me like he is going for the money and a ring. Substitute Bynum in there if you want. That is one hell of a roster and could be in the WCF for a few years, and maybe win a championship.

Morey. And 2 first rounders, 4 second rounders, Jones, D-Mo, White, Parsons, filler and salary cap room to take back bad contracts.

Second thread ever in 1500 posts. I am just trying to get it promoted up, where it will get consideration from the community at large. I know. My bad. Ask anyone, I am not nearly so accommodating generally. Enjoy it while you can!

Bynum and JSmith... I'd go with Parsons over Iggy - jus from a salary cap perspective...and keeping Lamb, Parsons and DMo limits the tradeable assets for a s/t...

    Lin
    Lamb
    Parsons
    JSmith/DMo
    Bynum/Asik

Would that crew make it to the WCF? Which was the main point of the roster I constructed. The 4 and the 5 are as solid as any in the NBA. You have freed up $11 million in salary. How would you spend it?

That doesn't really explain the logic behind it.

We will most likely lose Lamb, DMO, Martin,1 1st rounder, 2 2nd rounders in getting Dwight. Which leaves us with:

-1 1st rounder (which we can't trade because it may be obligated to another team for a previous trade)
    -White
    -Parsons
    -Jones

Once we get those bad contracts from Orlando, we wont have cap space anymore, which means you think Morey can turn White, Parsons, and Jones into Iggy and Smith?

I don't get the logic here.

    Lin
    Ellis
    Parsons
    Dmo
    Dwight

That team would win a championship.

People overrate Iggy to much on this board. Never been a big fan of J Smoove. That team is 5th-8th in west.

Actually I do not see the Rockets losing Lamb to Orlando. Given the discomfiture of Orlando right now I expect that Morey's offer to be shockingly low. Also probably taking on just 1 bad contract. If we are taking back their SG, it immediately solves the depth problem at that position. Probably, maybe something like the Toronto pick, Martin, 2 second round picks (from Boston), filler and D-Mo. For Howard and 1-2 bad contracts.

Given that Josh Smith has asked to be traded the last couple of years and his statement that he will not resign with Atlanta next summer I could see him traded for something like Charlotte's second round pick, the rights to Llull, a conditional first round pick (first available after the Atlanta pick is exercised), Parsons and filler. Or just make him an offer next summer. He will be a UFA and has stated that Houston is a preferred destination.

Iggy on the other hand is an enigma. I truly have no idea. It seems like he has been on the trading block forever. The Dallas pick, White, Jones, a second rounder and cash? Speculation.
