Patrick was at the Omer Asik press conference on Thursday and spoke with the media afterwards.

He's excited the Rockets will have a big man in the middle and he's aware of what Asik can do defensively. He says he thinks what the Rockets are doing (rebuilding, etc.) is very "positive". He also says his ankle feels good/solid/strong now and he's working on his leg strength/conditioning. He was also asked about Dwight Howard.

What'd he say about Howard (for those whose Fortune 100 company employers have blocked it)?

Thanks to anyone who answers with a serious response, not making **** up. :)

So, Les, Morey and Parsons attends Lin presser. Omer gets stuck with Sam and Pat. :p

I'm going out on the limb and say pat pat will have a breakout year! He'll be very effective on the Pick and Roll/Pop with Lin. 16-17 points, 7-8 Rebs!

I believe Morey's in London supporting Chris Finch coaching efforts with Team Great Britain and was not available to attend Omer's presser.

another good guy. very hard losing Scola, Bud, Lowry, Lee and Dragic this offseason. I'm all for the rebuild, but it's been tough saying goodbye to such quality team guys. No doubt that one of the reasons why our chemistry has been so good over the last few years, and we've had the best winning percentage not to make the playoffs, is because we fill our team with guys like Pat; not guys like JR Smith.

I'm torn on Pat because i really believe that Jones can do everying Pat can do, and more. So i think Pat's skill-set is somewhat redundant as our current roster stands. On the other hand, I expect Pat to take a Landry-like step this year, and his great work ethic and veteran leadership is something we proabably need now more than ever. The Morey starting 4 comment was telling. Pat's omission signaled to me that our 4-spot is wide open, and i wouldn't be surprised if the KU connection was split up before the season starts.

PatPat's beard is really coming into it's own. It's really ready to be a veteran on the team.
