Obama Holds First Cabinet Meeting Since January

    9:02 AM, JUL 26, 2012 • BY DANIEL HALPER

According to President Barack Obama's official schedule, "Later in the afternoon, the President will hold a Cabinet Meeting in the Cabinet Room. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting."

By CBS reporter Mark Knoller's account, this cabinet meeting is the first one President Obama has held since January 31:

    Mark Knoller
    @markknoller
Today at the WH, Pres Obama convenes a Cabinet meeting - 18th of his presidency, first one since Jan 31st.

That January cabinet meeting, according to the White House, "focused on small businesses." Here's how the White House described that meeting:

Today, President Obama convened a meeting of his Cabinet to discuss the ideas he laid out in the State of the Union. Joining the meeting was a new member of that Cabinet -- Karen Mills, the head of the Small Business Administration. ... The President also ran through what agencies like the Departments of Commerce, Energy, and Education are doing to help American businesses as well.

So it appears, like the president's jobs council, his cabinet has been focusing on jobs. And, like the jobs council, the president hasn't held a cabinet meeting in over the last six months.

Good thing we have ways to communicate these days besides meeting in a room.

It's like the President doesn't know our established Anglo-Saxon ways.

unemployment is a national disgrace. The economy is slowing. Glad that Oblamer can muster the energy to convene some meetings on jobs, finally. How many golf games has he played since January?

People need to stop giving Obama the benefit of the doubt. Yes, he's very articulate when given a teleprompter (that works), but aside from that his performance has been embarrassing to our great country.

Well, you know what they say. As soon as you resort to calling people names you have lost the argument.

Yeah, Romney doesn't have much of a chance in the upcoming elections...in England.

I don't know how anyone thinks someone that unpopular has a chance to win presidency. He still has to convince independents to vote for him. Which they won't since he's so far right on the political spectrum.

    The Brits have gone soft.
I am surprised they still liked Obama after this.
Obama has disgust for Winston Churchill and got rid of the bust of Great Britons most revered leader when he moved into the White House.
Winston Churchill only led the country through WWII.

I am sure some Brits like Romney.
Especially after he said he would invite Churchhill back.
