    Not sure if posted already.

    My "Sources"

Reading stuff like this is so much better then reading about other stars cry about their teams. This is one reason why Timmy is the best PF ever. His loyalty is as strong as his skills.

I'm sure he could have asked for more but realistically he wasn't producing like a 20 mill a year player.

That's pretty cool... Lebron James also took a pay cut.

    Yeah but not in half.

Duncan has always been the enemy but he is a class act. The perfect leader/player to have for your franchise.

Spurs got very lucky the year they decided to tank & actually won.

This. TD is one of the most amazing players for me, not only is his skils HOF, his character and desire to win is just as legendary. He doesn't have fake desire like AI or Melo who pound their chests and strut on court but don't do an ounce of work off it, he legitimately wants to win and does everything from setting the mood into the locker room to even acts like this, sacrificing his paycheck so his team can surround him with more money.

You know who else did this? MJ. Dude made 7M a year for most of his career so the Bulls were able to surround him with Pippen, Rodman et al. TD is like your dream franchise bball player come to life, and while he's lucky the Spurs got him, the Spurs are way more lucky he fell into their lap.

That also about what he is worth as far as regular season goes, but he still knows how to turn it on in the playoffs. I'm pretty sure he just saves himself for the playoffs knowing that his team is more than good enough to get a high seed regardless.

I don't know if anyone else would have given him 10 million. I don't know how its really a paycut.

That's what I'm saying. Nobody mentioned Garnett re signing for $11 million per and he's better than Timmy at this point.

He came in fat yet he still gave it his all on the court. I couldn't say the same about Quitten, and yeah I'll say it - Drexler and Olajuwon (in the late years). Barkley was relentless when he aged, never used waning athleticism as an excuse. Wound up finishing 2nd in rebounds per game at some absurd old age, all while being 6ft 4in and overweight.

Exactly. If there was a team out there that was in contention and had 10+mil to spend on him I'm sure it'd be a different story. In the end I'd imagine the Spurs would be paying him more.

Over or under he only pays 70% of regular season games this year.
