How were they with McCain's team I mean . .this seems like the second time in a row they have not been . . in good hands . .. so to speak Rocket River
Obama's protectors in the mainstream media have been waiting to pounce on anything they can on this trip for a long time -- and have had a plan to make the fake case that Romney isn't ready for the international side of the job. It's all a manufactured poopslap, just like the rest of their media-generated narrative for this unqualified disaster of a president. The BDHOM campaign knows it can't win on the economic/business side. Their best hope at this point is to try the foreign policy gambit. A Syrian conflict or Middle East conflict is what their campaign is hoping happens, so that the story is shifted away from Obama's biggest weakness -- the economy. It's starting to get desperate for BDHOM... they are panicking.
The real reason Romney went to England: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TSqkdcT25ss" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Indeed. McCain switched teams (IIRC) in late July or early August and chose Steve Schmidt, which surprised a lot of people. This was my first huge red flag on McCain. About a week later, the pathetic Obama/Paris Hilton ad came out. Then after he chose Palin, I started leaning Obama.

I missed this gem... _____ For those Republicans who simply can’t understand why the public has failed to embrace Mitt Romney and why President Obama continues to enjoy much higher likability ratings, I offer to you exhibit A: Romney’s answer on NBC when asked about his wife’s horse competing in the Olympics. Rather than talking about the family being proud or excited about this special moment, the Republican presidential challenger instead threw his wife Ann under the bus and pretended he barely knew anything about her horse—whose name is Rafalca, by the way—and its big Olympic moment. “I have to tell you, this is Ann’s sport,” he said, preferring to not even say the word “dressage”—which is a French word meaning “training” and sometimes described as horse ballet. “I’m not even sure which day the sport goes on,” Romney said. “She will get the chance to see it; I will not be watching the event. I hope her horse does well.” So let me get this straight—your family has invested probably millions in dancing horses, supposedly as a way to help Ann treat her multiple sclerosis, “her horse” is going to compete in the globe’s most prestigious event, and we’re supposed to believe you don’t know anything about it? The subject never came up at the family dinner table or in the marital bedroom? Really, Mitt? And even worse, if we accept that Rafalca the horse is completely Ann’s deal and Mitt knows nothing about it, the guy isn’t even interested in going to watch his wife’s horse compete at an Olympics he’s already going to be attending? full article
Guess Rmoney's handlers decided they needed to quarantine the message. Didn't a certain VP candidate shut out the press once it was confirmed she was an imbecile? Sounds familiar Romney Shuts Press Out Of Jerusalem Fundraiser The Romney campaign has decided that a fundraiser to be held at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem Monday morning will be closed to the press, reports the Washington Post. The decision violates an agreement between the media and the campaign that some press coverage will be allowed at all fundraisers held in public spaces including hotels. From the Post: Under the agreement, a pool of wire, print and television reporters can cover every Romney fundraiser held in public venues, including hotels and country clubs. The campaign does not allow media coverage of fundraisers held in private residences. Campaign spokesman Rick Gorka declined to explain the campaign’s decision to violate protocol with the Jerusalem event. Pressed repeatedly by reporters to offer an explanation, Gorka said only that the fundraiser was “closed press.” Billionaire Sheldon Adelson is expected to fly to Israel to attend the event.
This guy is clueless in dealing with foreign affairs.. Romney's Overseas Trip Continues With Another Fumble ... At a fundraiser in Jerusalem's King David Hotel earlier today, the presumptive GOP nominee told his donors, "As you come here and you see the GDP per capita, for instance, in Israel which is about $21,000, and compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed by the Palestinian authority, which is more like $10,000 per capita, you notice such a dramatically stark difference in economic vitality." "And that exists also between other countries that are near or next to each other. Chile and Ecuador; Mexico and the United States," Romney added, before noting that culture "makes all the difference." It's a point he consistently stressed on the 2008 campaign trail. "And as I come here and I look out over this city and consider the accomplishments of the people of this nation, I recognize the power of at least culture and a few other things," Romney said. ... Get ready for the fallout on this gaff.
What an idiotic thing to say. By Romney's own logic, Israeli culture is far inferior to Arab culture. Because Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain etc. all have a higher GDP than Israel. Also he ignores the fact that Palestinians are living under occupation! Yet somehow the only reason they aren't doing as well is because of their culture.
reviews are not good Washington Post In Israel, Romney wows crowds but puzzles with grasp of Palestinian relationship Bloomberg Another hiccup? Romney's foreign trip not smooth And these are the good ones
Bad news for Willard -- Ehud Barak sings praises of Obama administration (CNN) – Israel's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ehud Barak said the Obama White House has been the most supportive administration throughout the two countries' diplomatic relations on matters of Israeli security, in an interview to air Monday on "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." Barak -also a former prime minister of Israel - said that though historically administrations from both political parties have supported the Jewish state President Obama's support, security-wise, is unparalleled. "I think that from my point of view as defense minister they are extremely good, extremely deep and profound. I can see long years, um, administrations of both sides of political aisle deeply supporting the state of Israeli and I believe that reflects a profound feeling among the American people," said Barak. "But I should tell you honestly that this administration under President Obama is doing in regard to our security more than anything that I can remember in the past."
That's some seriously high level praise, mc mark, coming from anyone in an Israeli government. This isn't "anyone," however, but rather a former PM of Israel, and the current Defense Minister. Saying this level of support for President Obama is unprecedented isn't an exaggeration, and during the runup to the election. Wow!
Coming on the same day Willard is questioning America's involvement with Israel and the president's stewardship has to be really embarrassing for team Romney
Leave it to right-wingers to spin it somehow. Don't underestimate them. Barak sending this unveiled signal about Barack definitely isn't what they wanted.
