Accidentally posted before I was finished...lol.

Anyway, we don't need to do any two or three for one's for another PF, which is what Davis is.

A real center, a SG or a SF will likely be Morey's target.

    Not Big Baby.

So, in the past superstar trades...

Denver Receives: Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash

New York Receives: Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.

    ---
New Jersey (Brooklyn) Receives: Deron Williams

Utah Receives: Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, two first-round draft picks and cash considerations

    ---

Los Angeles Clippers Receives: Chris Paul and 2 future second round picks

New Orleans Receive: Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, forward Al-Farouq Aminu and Minnesota's unprotected 2012 first-round pick
    ---

So, which deal could the Rockets deal most likely assemble? All the teams whose star was leaving were given first round picks, which we have plenty of.

I feel like a deal similar to the NY-Denver deal is a bit impractical; if thats what the Magic want, they're out of luck. I can see deals similar to the one that shipped Paul to Clipperland working out.

I don't understand why the Magic can think they can gouge us of our draft picks when the Nets and Hornets really only got two young players.

Spot on. Do not force D-Mo to play center position yet. That will come with maturity in the next few years. But I do not agree with trading for BB, If he comes with Howard then fine. Morey can probably move that contract and Howard/Asik can certainly cover the 5. JMHO.

Oh. Has anyone noticed that the roster badly balanced? LOL of course. Sure hope Morey has a plan for that.

So, I have a question for you. Does that make our offer for Howard Jones, Martin, White, 2 firsts and a couple of seconds, while taking back 1 bad contract feasible? Just curious.

I don't know, man. I'm not much of an arm-chair GM.
I just thought some people would like a reminder of what teams gave up and received in the past three superstar trades. Certainly helped me get a perspective on what we should be willing to give up.

Sure it will last for at least till the end of Aug. Hennigan is still trying to talk with Howard, and he hasn't had enough of ass yet. Our Cleveland is not willing to give up any of their rook or youngster. even as a facilitator, Rockets is the best opinion out there. Yet, our rooks aren't trade-able till the end of Aug, and it is logical that Hennigan get us back in the end of Aug, if he has enough of Dwight at that time.

You'll always lose when you trade a superstar. Sad thing for those teams is that in hindsight, Portland could end up with a better player than any of them while only giving Wallace away.

I think we're getting Dwight, though it may take a few weeks.

Vegas had us at 100/1 to win the championship next year. That opening line of 100/1 was the same as Mil, Utah, Port, Minn, GSW, and NO. As of July 19, we're 30/1, same as Dallas and Memphis. Vegas sure thinks we're not sticking with this roster. They didn't bump us to 30/1 with our current starting lineup, did they? At a guess that means 47 wins next season, 6th seed or so. We're not getting that record without trading for somebody else. Dwight?

Please Just Say NO to D-HO!!!!!!!!
He is fools gold for this team. Keep the youngsters draft picks and get another high first round draft pick from a by product of developing are youth.

We're not a huge market, and we're not close to a championship. Simple as that.

Its also worth noting that none of those deals were for a 1 year rental for a player. Which is precisely why I can't see Morey being willing to offer all of our assets just to get an unhappy D12

Not quite sure but I know it was back to Carrol Dawson, our former GM. He has a hatred for the Rockets and won't play ball with them. It's been going on for over a decade.

Perhaps one of the old timers can clarify for us.
