I just watched No Country For Old Men a few days ago and it was a great, intense movie. I was wondering what are some movies that are similar in how intense it is, and have a great plot? Trying to find one for tonight. Thanks.

If you liked Josh Brolin in that movie, then try American Gangster if you haven't already seen it.

The French film Tzameti for sure. It is about a high stakes game of Russian roulette.

The day of the jackal the 1973 version do not under any circumstances get the 1997 remake. Most intense movie I can recall.

I'm guessing the idiot from Colorado is a copycat of this movie.

I can't think of a film more intense than Saving Private Ryan. That said, the film does - and yet also doesn't - "slow down" after the opening scene. Just... a different type of tension develops.
