Boston Mayor Letter to Chick-Fil-A bashes them over their anti-gay stance

I tried to find the answer to your question but it hasn't been easy. I probably am wrong on that earlier assertion; however, many factors are at play. One being that most same sex relationships don't involve kids (many couples will stay married even if it is an unhappy one then get a divorce). Another is that, from what I read (but I have to question if these sources are non-biased), most gays aren't interested in a long-term relationship until they are much older - like in their mid 30s. Supposedly, they want to do "experimenting" while in their 20s which leads to a monogamous relationship not being desired.

But like I said, I am not sure and should not have said that without proof. But at the same time, I am not willing to accept what I have read because the majority of these sources are from Christian right organizations.

Regardless of how I feel about Chik-Fil-A's stance (And their damn fine food), this letter is pathetic.

 

So since straight people can't make marriage work and that is good we shouldn't give gays the chance to?

Also how are gays getting married going to make things go back to the days when wives were trapped in unhappy marriages?

 

I've never understood what chaps so many people's asses about same sex marriage.

Completely agree, at least Chick-fil-A is up front about their views. It may not be popular, but the minority opinion is deserving of discourse as well.

The writer seemed to take the premise and run with it. Is it utterly inconceivable that some Chik-Fil-A fan boy or girl decided to come up with the fake profile on their own and write those comments on their wall?

 

I think you are wrong. The opinion concerning same sex marriage has changed greatly.

how can you be against something that is a part of the fabric of human nature and behavior?

there are going to be gay people for the rest of time. deal with it.

Once again, comparing marriage to slavery and not having the right to vote.
