Kevin McHale Disappearance Watch

McHale is not in Rockets plan.

 

McHale is envious that David Kahn is up in Minnesota trying to start a three-way by dangling Johnson, while Morey is sitting in Houston trying to relieve pressure by trimming his cap.

Sorry, that is my best attempt at a CH tribute post. Maybe I am trying too hard

 

Ever L upset Kevin last year. He has to be numb with this roster. Personally I think he should have fun. Its like building a car. It might not look pretty or be functional for awhile but it's still fun to watch it form and know that you had a hand in it. If he can't go into the season with that attitude, he may be the wrong coach for the team at this time.

 

I honestly can’t tell if this thread is supposed to be satirical or not. I thought so from the OP, but reading on I'm not sure lol.

 

I speculate that McHale doesn't want to be there for them because the focus is on them, not having reporters ask the coach how to play them? Importantly, he likely went back home to Minny after the summer league for rest. I'm sure if McHale was asked by Morey and Alexander to be there, I'm sure he would be there. If Dwight is going to Houston, I'm sure he would be there because he is the most valuable asset.

 

Guys, is Rick Adelman unhappy? Haven't seen him in a minute.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. McHale was hired to buy into whatever the front office is selling. Unless he wants to follow McHale back to Minnesota he'll do what he's told!!!!!

McHale said in one of the Pre-Summer league interviews that he was going to be here to work with the youngsters for the first part of the summer before it gets too hot, then come back a few weeks later.

My guess is he's taking that "heat of the summer" vacation back in Minny to be with his family, and take a break from it all.

Even Kevin McHale deserves some R&R.

Maybe he is interviewing for a coaching job in the NBA-D league Rio Grande Vipers.
After the last 6 games where player substitution was lacking. I did not think the players were tanking but the coaching was.
