I don't think the Rockets should touch Bynum. From what I've heard, his knees have a long tern prognosis that's pretty grim. The fact that he appears to be an ******* I can deal with. An ******* in a suit is something else altogether.

Bynum is pretty damn good as an offensive option. You might want to be careful with that statement

I know Bynum is good. But I have a feeling that Donuts will be a beast. Watching him play reminds me of watching Yao's video before right after the draft in 2002. (I'm not comparing Donuts' game to Yao's.) I was like: Wow, this guy is big and is skilled.

Okay, I sound like DD.

I kinda wonder. Some ppl call Asik a scrub for being all defense and being so raw on offense. Seems like teams draft high centers with the same skills mix all the time. I wonder how Asik compares to a Drummond, Oden when he was coming out, etc. Hell, Oden was drafted ahead of Durant - that's how much teams value what Asik does.

Everyone can knock Asik for being only defensive. But I think everyone here would have taken Ben Wallace in a heart beat in hist prime.

I'm not comparing the two right now but if Asik becomes a great defensive force then we will be fine. Points will be gravy from him. You don't need everyone to be a double digit scorer on your team.

Asik is here to protect the paint and that is all.

Well for one thing Asik isn't this big, black, athletic and imitimidating looking guy that plays center. Wasn't hyped up. I don't expect him to be as good as Mutombo, I dont know what his defense is in 30 plus minutes but we know offensively it will be him not getting the ball a lot. Just a lot of question marks plain and simple just like other young players he has to prove himself but neither him or Motiejunas is on the level of Andrew Bynum in any area of their game please.

I would absolutely love to have Bynum IF it didn't mean that the Lakers get Dwight Howard. I think the Lakers with Howard is just the worst thing that could happen for the Western Conference.

It sucks to look at what happened at the end of game 6 Bulls vs Sixers in the playoffs. Gives you a clear indication that Asik needs to be on the bench at the end of a crucial game.

Didn't Bynum have a triple double with blocks near the end of the season?

Only if you need to make a comeback and you're going to play small ball. Who in the hell expects/expected Asik to be a closer offensively? He's absolutely an asset if you have say a 4 point lead with 2 minutes left.

If his knees are trashed, how did he make it through the entire season without incident, and without missing a single game because of his 'trashed' knees?

It was a shortened season so can't really call it an "entire season"

Lakers know that bynums value is highest it's likely to be.Bynum making it through the short season is fools gold.History doesn't lie and it tells us big guy's with bad knees don't last.
