Unless they acquire a star, this team is almost certainly going to be dreadful. Which is what we should all be hoping for, frankly.

Its a joke because a lot of the new personnel are upgrades over the old ones.

Asik alone is a huge upgrade over the Dalembert/Hill/Scola center rotation we had last season.

Its like what DM said himself, a lot of people will be sleeping on the Rox, but like Charles Barkley when he said we would be the worst team in the West after Yao retired, a lot of people will be dead wrong in their "analysis".

so who are we better than in the west? Go ahead and name the teams. We are REBUILDING, it's fine for us to be low on lists like this. You guys can't have it both ways, it's like you want to rebuild and stll be considered a good team at the same time....

I don't think we're going to be good with this current roster (if there aren't any other changes). However, when Morey said we'll be better than people think I tend to believe him. It doesn't really crystallize until Vegas sets the over/under on number of wins for Rockets this season. Remember when everyone thought we'd be awful last year with McHale? Our record was pretty much the equivalent to when we had Adelman. We won't be bad enough next year to get a top 3 pick, that's just not who we are.

This was before Harden, so it's not really crow. We'd probably have 10 less wins than we would have now.

The Fakers were also a top-3 and we all see how that turned out. They might not even make the Playoffs this year.

Even without Harden, no way this team is ranked 28th in the league. It was just the media underrating this young team because most of the players were unknown quantities. Many posters on here still can't believe that this team is that good, attributing much of the success to McSuccess of all people.

Even at 10 less wins they are not the 28th ranked team in the league.

Yeah... I thought we would still fighting for a playoffs spot even without
harden, but obviously with worse record than now.

And I love Los Angeles Lakers ranked #3. :p

before the Harden trade, but I agree we would not have been 28th in the league with James this season.

Although most also figured the Lakers would win the West and have a shot to beat Miami. I knew theyy couldnt hang with SA or OKC before the season but never could I have imagined them almost missing the post season.

What a great year this could turn out to be, Texans make the playoffs and Cowboys don't and Rockets make the playoffs while Utah, LA and Dallas all fight over one spot.

Even without the Harden trade, we'd probably have won in the high 30s.
