Where will Dwight walk if he gets traded here? Dallas? He wouldn't leave 30 million to go to Dallas just so he could get more endorsements. His agents are screaming at the top of their lungs against Houston because they know he would re-sign here. If he were to walk, he would just walk instead of threatening people.

    Lmao!! Still find that hilarious.

If anything now he has the rep of killing Dirk's chance at a repeat.

I would have been shocked if he chose Dallas.

Because it was his hometown. And that still wasn't enough.

I think Dallas is a very real threat and if Dwight gets lit up at the Rockets for making a trade for him and killing his chance to go to LA or Brooklyn, I could see him leaving for Dallas out of spite.

Why would he spite us? Because we want him so bad? Dwight will be furious with Orlando if he ends up here, but he really has no reason to be mad at us.

Dallas..maybe Atlanta (his hometown). He was ready to leave 30 million from Orlando. And this whole notion that you can only get endorsements in NYC and LA has been debunked. Someone posted a study about this not too long ago

This makes perfect sense and is completely logical.

However, logic doesn't prevail with these folks and I think they'll find enemies everywhere for the sake of justifying their actions in their own mind.

Let's hope Dwight is more mature than that, but so far all indications are that he isn't. :p

He WASN'T ready to leave $30M from Orlando, that's EXACTLY why he opted in. If he was willing to leave $30M on the table he would be a Brooklyn Net right now.

Both places where he still wouldn't have a good roster around him. He'd get better endorsements with Lin here than in ATL and maybe Dallas.

It's better if howard doesn't say he wants to be in Houston. More leverage for Houston.

Not sure why I posted it in the Bulls won't match Asik thread, mixed up I guess, but

    Stephen A:

Me(Stephen A.), Bucher, Stein, Yahoo, Broussard, Rudolph --Dwight's people have talked to everyone I'm sure.

All means nothing to me until I hear from Dwight. I want somebody to sit down with this dude and lets ask him the questions. He has to man up and answer his own questions. Speak for himself. Don't let anyone speak for him. We've heard from everyone. ... Time is running out. Howard doesn't want to go to a multitude of places and has stripped Orlando of leverage. ... Dwight wants to go to Brooklyn and he said they(Martins) promised him they would send him where he wanted to go. Dwight still believes he was duped into opting in. ... Time is running out to get a quality deal and offers will only get worse.

There is no way that he'd actually leave here, leaving $30 Million on the table to sign with Dallas. NO WAY. God, this guy is a jerk and I'm so sick of reading about this crap but I can't seem to stop myself. Get er done- one way or another.

All of those in favor of trading for Dwight saying that he wont leave $20-30mil on the table do realize that after he signs the offer sheet in Houston, he can easily start to b**** and pout his way out of Houston too right?

    Follow me here:

He opted in with hopes of prolonging a possible trade to the Nets. After he saw that wasn't happening, he tried to file a grievance with the NBA to be let out of his contract.

If he is let out of his contract, that makes him a free agent, and he effectively loses than 25-30 million. No?
