Of course it should be legal. A man owns his own person. Whatever he chooses to do with it is his business, so long as he brings no harm to others or their property.

    Correct.

    Also correct.
However, anyone who has ever attempted to make beer at home can tell you...it's not exactly like boiling ramen. It's quite technical and incredibly time-consuming. Doing it well takes years of practice, time, patience, equipment and space.

Growing marihuana at home can be as simple as tossing some seeds in the back yard and watching it develop. Clearly, one can invest all sorts of money and time into mastering the art of marihuana horticulture. It's just simply not a requirement.

Dow Chemical + Philip Morris (and the like) + Exxon + PHARM = No Legalization (nation-wide) anytime soon.

I have done weed a couple of times in my life, mostly with good friends.

I really don't give a damn about it being legal or illegal, because it's so accessible here in Vancouver and cops usually don't care unless you start deal. Plus I don't see what's so good about it either so the legality of it doesn't really affect me as much.

Though I have to say, I have a few friends that turned into pot-heads that do kind of worry me sometimes. I guess anything has to be done in moderation or else it really can **** you up.

Do you feel the same about cocaine, crack, bath salts and meth?

go work at a cancer hospital and listen to stories of people who have lung cancer, copd, or throat/mouth cancer. watch them gasp for air, unable to talk (trachs etc)...and then tell me how fun it is to smoke and drink.

i am speaking from experience of working at a place like that.

I voted to keep it illegal because that's what Officer Williams told me in my D.A.R.E. class in middle school.

Why isn't the poll made public?

That is an unfair assumption. It is the equivellant of someone saying that people who do partake are scared to be in their own natural occuring state of mind at all times, so they need something to alter it.

Which is a very wrong assumption of course, just like the one you made.

Everyone knows this fight is about big business, keeping people employed, keeping cartels going so there is something to use as an excuse to fight, etc. etc. etc. . The actual war was lost years ago. This country would sooner go bankrupt and belly up...then for there to be any changes that would make it legal and taxable. That's the truth. There is too much at stake, too many profits to be had, too many people on the payroll, too many private prisons to populate, etc. . There is no way they will ever change this.

OOPS. I failed to answer the OP's question:
I think it should be legal. (I do not use marihuana.)

17 Legal Medical mar1juana States and DC

1 in 3 states have taken the first step toward legalization.

I am betting that in 10 years that there will be 25+ states with legal medical mar1juana.

Philip Morris would be stupid not to expand their business to include mar1juana, in states where it becomes legal.

I say legalize it, but how could employer's prove if someone is coming to work high? Will a piss test prove you have smoked in the last so many hours?
