If Dwight gets dealt here, no amount of pouting will matter. He cannot be dealt via s and t to la. His only option is to walk to Dallas directly and leave 30mm on the table. He doesn't want to do that and is terrified to be dealt to Houston. That's why all the noise from his camp about Dallas.

That's the last threat he has that is remotely viable.

Dwight's camp trying to leverage, just like ORL and HOU and everybody else.

How sure are you about the Lakers not being an option? A team has to be $4MM over the luxury tax threshold before they are unable to do a sign and trade. The Lakers might be able to make a few moves to get below $74MM assuming that the cap number doesn't go up at all. I'd guess if they amnesty Artest they will be below that number.

What incentive would Howard have to accept a S&T?

Yes, I know that. Just said I know they can't S&T him to the Lakers.

Which is what he's saying he will do.

He doesn't want to do it, you're right. He doesn't want to leave the money on the table...but whose saying he won't do just that?

Look at all of our options. This one is the one with the most risk and could blow up in the franchise face. Right now we have a brighter future than Dallas and from what we know right now we would have a better chance at getting the 2nd best center in the NBA and locking him up long term.

If this is the case, then he would be as tactical and amazing as Darryl Murray!

Morey needs to stay the course. He's obviously not giving up the farm for Howard, hence Orlando hasnt accepted. All Morey needs to do is wait Hennigan out.

I am tired of this crap.... screw howard.... the more i read all this tweets and insiders info it just ticks me off even more..... I bet that orlando told howard hey the only place we can realistically trade you too is houston and it is the best fit for us... howard probably said no i do not want a trade to houston they suck..... anyways i hope they trade him here and make him suffer being here.... but if he is traded here i bet our pitch will be hey we have had legendary centers here, we have won championships with our great centers blah blah blah and we will have cap space to get chris paul next year.... we have a young team and so on.... what do you guys think?

Orlando officials have repeatedly told people they want the kind of knockout package Denver received for Anthony, but will it present self?

How can they possibly even think they'll get any deal like this?

This is a hugely unpredictable factor. Granted, there is a ton of information and are a ton of reports out there indicating we have what the Magic want, but we ultimately CANNOT control their decision.

The Lakers payroll is at $95 Mil right now. They would have to amnesty Metta World Peace and then renounce their rights to Bynum next summer. If they did that who would they offer up in a Sign and Trade? They cannot trade any firsts till 2017.

I think the apron applies to team salary AFTER the trade. Not that easy to ge far enough under that you can still be below apron after taking Howard and especially if you add bad contracts.

Yeah, if he feels he can get just as good of an offer as late as at the deadline, he will wait.

I can remember HATING the Cyde/O.T. trade. (obviously, I was wrong about that one...lol... but, I wanted them to have an opportunity to defend the championship with the same team). That turned out pretty well for sure.

I'm so on the fence with this thing it's not even funny.

I DO think he'll re-sign. I DON'T want him here 'cause of the "I don't want to go to Houston" stance (even though I can easily understand it).

I DO think he can be swayed. I mean we are talking about Dwight Howard here. I DON'T want to give up Lamb or D-Mo.

I DO think it's worth the risk. I DON'T want to help L.A.

But, I DO think Bynum is a pretty good alternative - especially when he has Asik backing him up, so he doesn't have to play huge minutes. I DON'T want to get another big man with injury issues (even though he made it through a season fine that could not have been tougher on guys).

I DO want to see a dominant offensive force at center for us. But, I DON'T want to have to see Asik sit on the bench like he did in Chicago (this guy has Dikembe type defensive potential).

Hell, I'm not even sure what I want anymore....lol.

He'd be going to one of the teams he's planned on going to and getting his money. Why wouldn't he?

I'd be surprised if lamb, dmo, or parsons were included in the offers right now. Just no point to offering them right now.

    They aren't getting that.

If that is what they want they are not getting it from Houston unless Dwight makes a commitment to Houston before hand as Carmelo did.
