Sorry we don't want Bynum, it is Dwight or nothing.

Alex Kennedy: Instead, Rob Hennigan wanted to talk things out with Dwight Howard and improve their relationship. Howard was frustrated after the meeting. 2 minutes ago

If that was the case, there would have already been a trade.

Morey won't deplete all the youngsters.

Lamb or D-Mo (very likely Lamb) will probably go, but other than possibly White or Jones going (not both), it will be Martin, Patterson and/or Morris and quite a few non-guaranteed guys. (as well as the Toronto pick, the Dallas pick and likely the second round Charlotte pick).

But, if he was offering Lamb AND D-Mo, the trade would have probably already happend.

He may re-sign here, but we don't a reluctant star who is physically injured as well.

So we are going to force him to come here? Pretty much asking for him to leave afterwards.

That was due to the belief he AND D-Will would be there though.

While Cuban and staff have done a VERY good job at picking up talent after losing Kidd and Terry, it's far from being viewed as championship caliber.

Id say that's a pretty big warning. Rejection never feels great. Holding on to a guy who wants no part of the organization always sends bad signals to other players. I think its wise to let it go.

Yeah but we won't have most of that young core that you are basing this on.

I'm guessing that is the hold up and why this deal hasn't been done because Orlando wants most of that young core that the Rockets are not willing to give up. Take that away and the teams are about even with Howard being the stone on the weighing scale.

Sure the guy could be bluffing...he could also not be bluffing..who knows?

But I know right now at this point the Rockets have the brighter future. Send Howard to L.A for Bynum and the Rockets have even a brighter future and at the same time leave Dallas to wait out the end of the Dirk era.

What if Dwight is doing this on purpose so the Rockets won't have to give up the farm?

Works both ways, that's exactly why the trade hasn't happened.

Perhaps it won't happen unless Orlando gets what they want?

    Then they risk losing everything.

    We are risking... nothing.

Houston will only do the deal if it is in the best interest of Houston.

Orlando HAS to do a deal, period.

And now that he knows Dwill isn't there it seems he still likes the idea of going there.

It wouldn't even matter how good the team would be around him in Dallas, the point is he would have left Houston to go there. It would be equivalent to a knock out punch and then spitting on your opponent in disgust.

Howard's plan: Trade him to the Lakers or Nets, he re-signs. Don't (or trade him anywhere else) and he's a Maverick in 2013
